So what did you do while the server was down? (still is for some of us?)

I played X Com (yes the original. it's on steam for like 5 dollars!)

I was mid terrorsite on my last save. I had a squad with the following memorable names

Door ****
Meat Pie 1
Probe Victim

Not surprisingly all 3 of them died. And frankly their stats were so bad it wasn't worth save scumming them.


On the other end of the spectrum I had characters with awesome stats and kill counts named
John McClain
Jack Oneil
Ellen Ripley

all of which carrying Rocket Launchers of course.

However I had a pleasant surprise out of 2 of my rookies who had really really bad stats. One of them got 4 Confirmed Kills with the Starter Rifle. And bagged a ground saucer with a frag grenade. If he lives through the next mission he's getting either The Boss as his name, or John Rambo.

Another one of my rookies bagged 3 greys, with a laser pistol. (not as impressive in my opinion)

I was kind of shocked that mission, because it's still very early game, and already they are throwing the mind bullets and alien grenades at me along with an abundance of alien tanks.

I can't wait to see what happens when I get to Chrysalids on this file... I might have to go back to my tried and true terror site tactics of Kill Civilians Starve Chrysalids.

    Went down the hill to Castro district and went to the post office, had a tasty organic burger with bacon, went somewhere else for ice cream and visited some buddies.

    Signed up for MechWarriorOnline

    Ordered groceries for tomorrow delivery.

    Talked on TS with fleeties about the amounts of fail everyone is encountering.

    Posting in the forums.
    Realizing I made sure not to stay at work late for pretty much nothing.
    Blaming cryptic and pwe for my life and everything distasteful in it.
    Some soulful introspection after #3 there.

    :rolleyes:I played Street fighter and pwned like i always do, then played Madden 12, then went on vent and griefed everyone for lulz while playing simcity 4.

    It was a boring day for me when STO was offline, but it is what it is.
