What is the difference between fleet retrofit ships and c store ships like for example the galaxy retrofit is the same thing as the c -store but other ships are different. Also when you buy a fleet retrofit ship do you get to use it outside of the fleet like a normal ship because I was thinking of getting a fleet retrofit ship when they are out and dumping my old one

The fleet retrofits will have 10 console slots, the 10th is allocated differently depending on what ship, in the Galaxy's case it will have a 5th engineering slot. Yes, when you purchase it it functions just like any other ship, there are no restrictions on use.
The c-store version comes with a console for saucer separation which the fleet retrofit does not have.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
I heard that the fleet starbase will also have c token for fleet star ships retorfits which are stronger then the free one is their any information about a better galaxy retrofit class that is better then the c store one and the upcoming fleet starship tier 4 one
from what I know of is that the fleet version of the refits/retrofits will be stronger than the c-store version and the original lower tier version. But they will have a different boff layout and an added console as mentioned. But the c-store versions will be a little bit weaker but will come with a special console, I don't know about the boff layout though.
I heard that for fleet retrofit ships there is a stronger one that cost c points that isn't in the c store which is stronger then the fleet retrofit ships.
Does anybody know if you need to have the C-Store ship to get it's Fleet Variant?
For Example you need to have the Galaxy R to get the Fleet Galaxy R?

Im pretty sure they're sperate ships , only thing i think that applies is 2409 skins wont come with the fleet ships and will still come with the c... z store ships
Far as I'm aware the C store ships are getting a hull points buff to stay inline with the new fleet ships (otherwise fleet Galaxy would own the oddy we have now) I do know that when I took my Excelsior retro on tribble it gained around 3000 Hull points from what it has on Holodeck atm.

A couple ships did gain hp, but it was because the turn rate/hull point trade wasn't consistent for some ships. The slower escorts all gained a bit relative to the faster ones, not sure where other ships stood. Otherwise the buffs are on lockbox ships.
C-store ships get special powers, Fleet ships get better stats, lockbox ships (and the C-store Odyssey) get both. If you have a fleet ship with a C-store counterpart (like the Galaxy), you can put the console on the fleet ship to get both benefits.
The difference? One is a fleet ship, the other is a C-Store ship with a console.
Fact: My Tactical Escort Retrofit has a cloaking device... The Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit does not.

krayuskorianis the real question than is now that you have the Cloaking Device can it go in the new ship?
I know the Tactical Escort Retrofit and Gal X are the only ones able to use a Cloaking Device, but will that expand to include the Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit?

You can move a console from a C-Store ship to its Fleet equivalent, i.e. take the Cloaking Device from the Tactical Escort Retrofit and put it in the Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit, thereby gaining both the special power and the boosted hull HP and extra console slot.
So really, the C-Store ship has no advantage over the Fleet variant. If you've already bought it, you're gaining nothing by flying it instead of the Fleet version, which strikes me as incredibly dumb. C-Store ships should really be buffed to match Fleet ships. Fleet ships, on the other hand, allow a greater variety of ships one can fly; endgame Nova-class, or Hope-class, or non-cloaking Tactical Escort Retrofits, or whatever. That honestly seems very fair to me.

At any rate I love the nebula and seeing one with higher hull, shields, and an extra console slot, makes me happy enough.
Question, what happens to your fleet ship if you leave your fleet?
Nothing. It belongs to you, not the fleet.
iI believe you cannot use the special fleet hull materials if your not in a fleet though.

Is this confirmed?
Yes, I have a Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit and i have put the cloaking console on it from my cstore ship.
