I queued for the Khitomer Elite Space STF, and rather than starting with a new team I was put into one that only had two players, whom were fighting to kill the first gate and had already been unable to stop 7 Borg ships from going through the time vortex.
I think it's wrong to throw a new player into something like that and then make them wait another hour before being able to play again, when I was in there for less than 5 minutes. I don't blame the team, I think they did great considering their were only two of them, with the rest of their team no doubt bailing on them.
The STF system really needs an overhaul, more so than any of the season 6 useless junk that is being worked on. I think the hour cooldown should go, make it a 15 minute one. Cryptic fix what you got being adding more bugged features into the game. Get your act straight this is just one of many things that are annoying your customers, take heed of the old saying, "The customer is always right" and do something about this.
Vent/Rant finished!

While I agree with you on the stated problem, please kindly try this line next time you go into your local supermarket and say that the hamburger is marked 10 cents a pound and see how far you'll get.
"The customer always thinks that they're right even when they're wrong"
"The customer should think that they're always right"
That's more like it.
Sorry but this is a button pusher for me.
edit: have to admit though that I have never been dropped into the middle of a STF. It's always been right at the beginning. Maybe you folks should start a thread and compare notes on this. Is it one specific STF that always does this? Normal vs Elite? Klingon or Fed? Sounds like the problem needs to be debugged to see where it;s happening. I only recall 3 threads recently on the problem so it doesn;t appear to be as widespread as some folks make it out to be.
Got the tee-shirt, but plasma burns rendered it unwearable....
Ya, had it happen twice in the last 2 months, both pug elite, not positive but may have been KA both times. Neither was as bad as the OP's experience but aggravating all the same.
Agree on the cool-down, but it should scale based on the order people bailed. First to leave gets the full hour, last man standing (perhaps better phrased as blown up...) should have little or no cool-down.
Also would be cool if you do complete with less than 5 members, the loot would scale up, perhaps even with guaranteed elite drops with say only 3 players?
STF Pugs... coin toss every time. Don?t even try to do Cure anymore on pug elite, one to many fails.
While there's a LOT to be said for treating customers well, "The Customer is always right" is a flawed business model and typically spells doom for any business that utilizes it.
The customer is in most cases a complete ****ing moron (I've worked retail for a long time and anyone else who also has will confirm this). But you have to make them happy while not breaking your bank.
This does not involve bending to every whim, it DOES involve being slightly flexible.
I was dropped into an STF today jsut in time to see the first transfer unit blow. I prefer having a fresh STF but sometimes you're going to get dealt a **** hand.
Intentional griefers could ruin STF after STF without pause. That failure delay helps as well. And yes, there are a large number that "grief" the game.
Kind of a tricky one this. I was in an STF the otherday and we all were doing fine and then two left, a new person came in and said Hmm! strange but your doing fine. I replied and said two just bailed out on us for no reason, with that one original person came back to fill the fifth slot and said sorry about that and mentioned something which I didn't really understand but asumed it was todo with his connection. See your glad when people turn up and help but when its going badly then you can see why people wouldn't want to be there - understandable. When joining an STF now I wait till at least 2/3 people have joined so normally end up in a new group.
Would like to see people that bailout on you have there timmer extended while people who are placed in a failed or potentially failed one get there timmer reduced if thats possable.

mother of god...
*abandons ship*
Indeed. As soon as that line gets pulled, nothing good comes of it.
Thank god for B2B.
It's not any different than joining a freshly made elite stf and still people drop out for various reasons because it's become hell in space.
The queue is not your friend.
