I decided to take a more serious tone with mine. Since I haven't played the content on Tribble, I've had to speculate a little bit. I think that actually helped me set the right mood... the crew isn't sure what to expect on Nukara Prime.
Feel free to discuss, or whatever.

This is my first try at one of the literary challenges. I really enjoy writing, so when opportunities like this come up, I try to participate. I hope this is not my last one. My in-game character is actually one I have had for MANY years, that was going to be part of series of novels based on his life. I've never really gotten around to writing the novels, though some of the stories do exist in one form or another and in various parts.
Hope you enjoy.

I have taken many liberties with this challenge. First, I wanted the interspatial rifts to be littered everwhere in the Nukara system, not just on the planet. I also decided against sticking with the description from STO season six. Writing about the beginning of another war just doesn?t sound that interesting. Instead, my story is focused on the lives of those aboard my ship, and the Nukara mission will change the way they work together (if they survive, of course). I have also made up a new ship and crew for this story.
About the Borg/Caeliar incident ? I am referring to David Mack?s Star Trek Destiny trilogy. Yes, I know that the novel timeline doesn?t match up to the STO timeline.
Is anyone else planning on including the Tholian perspective in their story?
By the way, Branflakes, please fix the issue with certain characters not being copied over correctly. I had to go back through the post to change the ? marks into ' and ". Please
Yes please! It was very discouraging to copy/paste from Word and see all the special characters ruined.
Looks pretty good.
I like how you basically did it from a Freighter Captain's perspective, meaning that he's not the person that will be landing on Nukara.
I might try my own entry to this challenge. Might be good to tackle this from the perspective of an Academy Field Instructor.
