Quad Cannon Avavibility

So,i am quite happy with my dual heavy cannons...
But...You cannot really have enough cannons on yer ship,so my question is:
What are the ways to obtain Quad Cannons?

    C-store only at the moment for quads.

    the defiant for the feds and one of the bird of preys for the klingons.

    I searched c-store at least 3 times now,and i cannot find this defiant.Where can i find it?

    Sorry its a defiant variant, called the sao paulo. its a tier 4 ship.

    not to be confused with the actual tier 5 defiant that comes with the cloak.

    What is actual difference between Dual Heavys and Quads Apart from DMGx4 on quads?

    They fire fast, they strip shields fast because of it. The Quads are getting a boost in the season 6 patch so it's worth having them. I've tested em out in the tribble server and they shred everything.:)

    I assume Quads are unique and you can only use one per ship?

    yes they are one per ship.

    Is it worth it for me to Buy Sao paulo when i got Heavy Escort Carrier just for Quads?

    That would be something that depends heavily on your style of play. The quads have a very narrow field of fire and really require that you be able to put your nose dead on target and keep it there. Having a couple of CRF definitely helps. I think the ideal Defiant-ish escort would have the cloaking device, point defense console, and the quads. Keep in mind the quads will level with you.

    If your going to buy it just for the one quad cannon. I would say no. That being said, if you want several ships with the quad cannon you can always buy the ship move the quad to your inventory the dismiss the ship then reclaim it. and rinse and repeat. Plus its an account unlock so youl be able to do this for all of your characters.

    I still think because quads drain your engine power and have such a limited firing arc, they should be like the other T1-4 C-Store perks and be mountable on any ship. THAT would make me buy the Sau Paulo. Nothing else has convinced me.

    They are getting a buff for season 6. id wait, see what people think after s6.

    either way its a lot of money for 1 cannon if you have no interest in the tier 4 ship or skin.

    IIRC, you can mount the quad on the Gal-X.

    From my experience, quads are really only good for the visual effects. In many ways they underperform as compared to DHCs, however.

    this is with no phaser boosting consoles

    before: 708 dmg (944 dps)

    after: 757 dmg (1009.3 dps)
