fleet ship questions

Hi - I'm probably noobish but getting confused with all the new ships.

I just brought an Armitage - is that forever going to be outclassed now or is there any way to get the extra console/hull stats for it? All I see is the Fleet Defiant version and to be honest I've never enjoyed the Defiant and love my Armitage but feel it is now going to be outclassed.

Do you need to have brought the c store version to unlock the fleet version - or are the marks and token/schematic thing from c store sufficient?

    No, that one is still going to be pretty good for the next 3 months, then it will only be slightly outclassed by the fleet version at tier 5 shipyard.

    So there is a T5 armitage in the fleet yard?

    Yes but it is also only available at T5 starbases. Meaning it will take at least 7 months to become available, in average most likely much longer.

    And I think it is a Fleet Heavy Escort. It definitely does not come with the torpedo console and it doesn't have the Armitage skin, I think it'll only have the normal Akira skins. However if you already own an Armitage, you can use the skin and consoles on the T5 Heavy Escort. So you profit from your current ship even if you get the T5 version too.

    But really, 7 months is a long long time. I wouldn't worry about it. Chances are you'll either fly something else by then anyway or you quit the game.

    My big question about the T5 Fleet Heavy Escort is will it have the hangar slot? If you bought the Armitage for the hangar but the Fleet ship lacks it, then the Fleet ship will do you no good.

    I also want to know if a Fleet Multivector Adv. Escort exists. Obviously it'll lack the MVAM console, but I really want to keep that BOff layout if/when I upgrade to Fleet.

    If the final version is anything like the version shown in the shipyard on Tribble at present, then it has the hangar slot. Like all of the other Fleet ships, it has the extra console slot, improved BOFF station, and improved shields/hull over the regular version.

    I may be mistaken, but I did not notice a change to the BOFF layout on the T5 Fleet Escort Carrier. It has +hull, + sci console, might have better shields, but I think it still has Cmdr Tac, Lt. Tac, Ensign Tac, Lt. Eng, Lt Sci.

    I would love to see that ensign slot be universal.

    I thought I read or heard somewhere that they where making one of the Lt slots a LtCmdr slot so that you can get increased powers as well

    The full Fleet version has Cmdr Tac, LTC Tac, Ensign Tac, Lt. Eng, Lt Sci.
