Yes I did. How Clever of you. I think I can reasonably assume you have reached some stage of evolution.

to an extent i believe so. but i can only interfere so much. allen something is going to happen soon. i can feel it.there is a disturbance in this timeline. know this i will help you everyway i can. this information though i thought would be helpful on the iconians. also i thought you might like this information on some of the erigins of the borg.

I suspected as much about the Borg... It seems my idea of the Queen isn't wrong per se. The information of the Iconians should go a long way to helping. I think the ship's doctor could come up with something to help Admiral Soval. I am not certain however on how to proceed with what I know now.. I wish you well Sinclaire you have surpassed me in ways I can't imagine... but yet I am content with what I am. So do you know what the Q continuum is doing as of right now? Or is that a bit much?

Shelana: This is Captain Shelana of the USS Odyssey, Fleet Admiral Allen is away at the moment. What is so urgent?

Ryan: We were brought here by General Torpal. He wishes to speak to you regarding the DeForest Kelley. The U.S.S. Darwin's Captain: Marilla Saph, would like to beam over with her Medical officer to aid your medical staff in Admiral Soval's recovery.

Captain, Admiral Soval is a personal friend of mine. I've known him since the Academy, and Daya's Medical Officer has unparalleled experience in neurological trauma and comatose conditions.

Right now, the situation with the Klingons and the DeForest Kelley incident must be a top priority. I've made so much progress with General Torpal and the Klingon High Council towards a Peace treaty in the last few months (since the attack on Qo'Nos by the clone fleet) to see it all fall apart now. With your permission, I'd like to beam over with General Torpal and discuss the situation in person.

at a resort in the rocky mountains a young combat medic is getting some much needed r&r after coming back from recent fighting with the romulans.soon a security officer comes up to him.

officer: sir you are to report back to starfleet command asap."

Cndr Hampton:" lt.i ust got here what can they possibly want this soon from me that i cant take some r&R."

officer:"i do not know doctor i ust know that i am to escort you to command asap."

looks at the officer and sighs to himself.
"well lets not keep them waiting."

This is Fleet Admiral Allen I am in command here.. We will beam over only a few of you. We have encountered some very strange and grave news over the last few days. I would like to discuss these things with you and the General. Bring Marilla Saph as well she may come in handy in restoring Admiral Soval.

Ryan: Understood, Admiral. U.S.S. Darwin, you have the coordinates for the Odyssey's Transporter pad. Lieutenant, beam General Torpal over here.

    Transporter Chief: Aye, sir. Energizing.

*General Torpal materializes on the Victorious' transporter pad*

    Torpal: Qapla'!

    *On the U.S.S. Darwin*
Daya: Rear Admiral Saph to Odyssey. Myself and my medical officer are standing by to beam over.

Transporter Chief: Confirmation on beam-over received, sir.

    Daya: Energize.

Ryan: U.S.S. Odyssey, did Saph beam over safely? Myself and General Torpal are on the Transporter pad ready for transport at your discretion.

Now lets speak of these current goings on. Right now the Iconian Taskforce has observed strange goings on during the war with the tzenkethi war. Krenn as it turns out was not a Klingon but a serventile race that was dependent on nano-machines that gave him his abilities. Not long later an unknown force began destroying the facility.

*slides the reports toward the two officers.*

These reports cover the findings, the attack, and what we discovered on the DeForrest Kelly. They are the same... Admiral Soval is still comatose at the time being.

These reports cover the findings, the attack, and what we discovered on the DeForrest Kelly. They are the same... Admiral Soval is still comatose at the time being.

Ryan: Alright. Let's start with the Klingon involvement in the DeForest Kelley incident. General?

Torpal: Our forces found the DeForest Kelley floating adrift between Krenn's base and the Klingon Homeworld. We couldn't beam over due to a strange level of radiation. It was gone by the time our ships brought her to you, but by then we were in Neutral Space and couldn't beam over without jeopardising our current ceasefire with your people.

It should be noted that, for a federation ship, very few consoles seem to have spontaneously exploded, according to this report.

Ryan: Thank you, General. Admiral, I was en route to Khitomer for the Peace negotiations when General Torpal's ship intercepted me. When I heard what had happened, I tried to get here as fast as I could and try to keep you from implicating the Klingons. From this report, I'm glad to see I was mistakenly under the impression that you were a "Cartwright" or a "Chang".

Something you should know though. Three federation bases along the Romulan border have gone silent, and we're getting no word from several VGA bases in the area. There's an unusually high amount of Romulan Comm. traffic though.

    *In Sickbay*

Daya: That's all the physical damage repaired. He's still not waking up, though.

Tarek: A suggestion, Captain. If a meld with Admiral Soval, I may be able to "jump start" his advanced mental, and physical, functions.

Daya: Not 100% sure? What's the risk?

Tarek: To the Admiral? Minimal. To me? If I go too deep and he dies while our minds are in contact, my mind could be lost with his, or, my mind may carry his back into my body. Our personalities would merge until his mind was transferred to another body. Another "living" body.

Daya: Those are pretty high risks.

Tarek: The latter has a slim chance of occurring, sir. It should be noted, that, if I'm successful, the Admiral will wake up. Given the information he possesses, and his skills in Starfleet, could save thousands of lives, it is only logical that I make the attempt. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. If it makes you feel more secure, I will transfer my Katra to a volunteer. If my mind dies with his, I can be restored.

Daya: Tarek, you just found your volunteer.

Tarek: Sir, I'm not sure you completely understand what this will entail. If my Katra is not returned to my body within a few days--

Daya: I'll start losing my mind, with the possibility of trying to knock out the Commander of Starfleet Security with a Vulcan Nerve Pinch.

    Tarek: *raises eyebrow*

Daya: My first host had the privilege of meeting Leonard McCoy.

Tarek: Indeed? *Places hand on Captain Saph's face* My mind to your mind. My thoughts to your thoughts. Our minds are merging. Our minds are one. Remember. *removes hand* Captain?

Daya: I don't feel any different.

Tarek: You will. *Places both hands on Admiral Soval's face* This may take some time. My mind to your mind...

I did not think the Klingons would attack the Kelly, proof also showed that someone tried to make it look like that. It was rushed and sloppy. I always look for the strange and odd details. The radiation levels were present all over the ship.

The Romulan Border is what I suspected when they caught wind of my promotion and my assignment. I suspect the remnants of the Tal Shiar and elements of Empress Sela's government. Which would mean Iconians are involved...

General.. Do you have any way of finding Iconian infiltration agents?

the ensign hands hampton a padd with the readings.

"helm take us closer make sure sensor jammers and cloaking device are running. comm officer send a report to starfleet command and admiral allen i believe he is in charge of the iconian task force inform he we may have discovered a listenening post."

    *Back in the conference room.*

    Mmm...

With all of the information we have on the Iconians we need to investigate the Romulan Border, if it is the civil war in their space we avoid it. Unless the Iconians are directly intervening with the conflict.. then we will be forced to intervene and remove their influence. In the information I have received from General Sinclaire we have some small information on the Borg as well. But that is besides the point. We will act on this again if there is a Iconian influence or the conflict has escalated into open war. We welcome Klingon assistance like brothers.

Now we do have an issue with nullifying the Undine threat within the quadrant so we don't have them interrupting us.

General if we could we would like Klingon vessels to scout ahead in the region while I assemble an investigation fleet.

If I know timing well Admiral Soval should be joining us soon.

*Door to the conference room opens*
Soval: Admiral. What is the condition of the DeForest Kelley?

    Ryan: Adrift, but salvageable.

Soval: Rear Admiral Allington. An honour to see you again.

Ryan: Likewise. Admiral Allen, this plan of yours come close to violating the Prime Directive. What if one of the sides in the conflict has formed a legitimate alliance with the Iconians? The Federation Charter explicitly forbids the interference in any Sovereign power's internal affairs unless invited to do so. More to the point, the civil war inside Romulan Space was reported to be in it's final days two months ago. I find it hard to believe that the rebels could have turned the war around so dramatically in such a short space of time. What if this is just flat out Romulan aggression?

Torpal: I must concur with the Admiral. We have no idea if this is Romulan Imperialism or the desperate act of rebels trying to get Federation, VGA, or Klingon, intervention. The rebels couldn't have turned their war around like this so quickly.

Soval: I assume we are discussing potential Iconian involvement in the Romulan Empire. Admiral Allen, Obisek recently contacted me. The Romulan rebels lost their last stronghold two weeks ago. Obisek's concerned that the Empire will turn their attentions back towards the Remans. Admiral Allington, Your interpretation of Federation law is accurate, but if the Iconians are manipulating Romulan society, should we not--*Red Alert Klaxon sounds*

Ryan: *taps combadge* Allington to Victorious, what's going on?

Comm. officer *Over intercom*: We've received a distress call from Starbase 41, sir. They're under Romulan attack!

Ryan: Starbase 41 is the home base for the 41st Fleet. Admiral Allen, if you don't mind, we could use a hand. *taps combadge* Allington to Victorious. One to beam over.

*Admiral Allington beams out of the conference room*

Torpal: I will board the Kahless and contact the High Council. If we can spare any ships to your defence, we'll do so. You saved our Empire, we owe you a great debt. *leaves conference room for transporter*

Soval: I'll remain here until the DeForest Kelley can be returned to a Starbase for repairs. Admiral Allen, Starbase 41 is still under construction. Her weapons grid is not yet functional, nor are her shields. She won't last long against a Romulan Assault without our assistance.

officer: sir we have federation starships on sensors.

Cole: very good lt. tell them to hurry up and oin the party i dont want to be here all day.

the VGA Spirit moves to gaurd the starbase.( the spirit is slightly larger then the oddissy class federation starship and the spirit is a full battle ship devouted to fighting.)

Ryan: Time for some blasting. Quantum Torpedoes, fire!

*The Bird of Prey breaks free but is quickly destroyed by the Victorious' torpedo salvo*

Daya: Darwin to Victorious. Thanks for the assist Ryan.

Ryan: Don't mention it. Let's focus on keeping these buzzards away from the VGA task force.

Wenj: Sir, long range sensors are picking up 40 incoming neutrino readings. From the sizes I'd say multiple Romulan Vessels in each cloud.

Ryan: Hell! Send out a distress call! We need more ships here!

Ryan: Not gonna be enough. These guys are just the first wave, to test our defences. Second wave will be here soon, and they're probably gonna be followed by another wave, etc. etc.

as the spirit is being hit by the romulans.

"also admiral i dont suppose now is a good time to say diplomatic relations with the romulans and the vga arent very good huh. but we do have a defense in place to help protect the base. it was a weapon our people have been working on that the federation requested after we told them about it. the station will need about 15 min to power it up though. but they will have to take away all there shield power."

    * USS Odyssey fires on the Romulan Wave destroying three of them.*

Support the fleet, keep their attention on us. Launch the Aquarius escort have them disrupt their attack and support the fighters.

Begin ship to ship countermeasures and try and envelop the station with our shields.

    Plan delta 456.

Admirals we will continue our discussion when we are not neck deep in Romulans.

Ops: Sir our shields have enveloped the station, they are now protected. However we don't have long,...

Divert auxiliary power to the shield array, execute plan S5 keep the Romulans off the station.

Admirals follow this tactical forecast and follow it exactly. This will save the station and keep the Romulans off of us til the Klingons and Federation assistance arrive.
