The side advertisements on this site, you the the one for "Do You Like Free Zen" and so forth. There is another after that which says something about donating for diabetes awareness..ok,yes that is a good cause type of thing that I have no problem to, and I know people who have that...but....having this on a MMO website....I think this is some sick stereotypical joke. Anyone else?

I think it's refreshingly honest. It's just a political fantasy to walk around on eggshells and pretend that nerdy gamers don't have an above average chance of a weight problem.

Awww, don't feel bad! Here, have a cookie.

    SEE!!? :P

They advertise beer at NASCAR, Doritos during NFL, and tampons during DWTS. Focused marketing works.

To be honest, I'm surprised I haven't seen a Chips Ahoy ad on here.

    I don't think it's a joke, I think it's a serious problem.

Now was it typecast to MMO players? Maybe, maybe not. I'm going to lean towards "not" though.

    Maybe... Just maybe, mind you...

    In these difficult monetary times...

The American Diabetes Association is trying desperately, in any way shape or form,

...to drum up the massive amount of funds necessary to fight this rapidly growing problem, for millions of Americans...

If it takes an unintended subliminally buried "sick joke" to get that point across, then so be it.

As long as they manage to get the funding they need to continue the fight to save people from this life-destroying disease, I'm all for it.

Now, if we start seeing ads for this product, then it might be purposeful.

I was about to say "what ads" but this must be what's stopping me from seeing them too.:)

Maybe if you wanted, you could stretch this to being "a joke", but anything that helps raise awareness of anything can hardly be called sick.

Someone takes this ad simply for zen, then realises that these symptoms might apply to them. Casual or hardcore gamer, this is a good thing.
