Hmmm....doesn't say 'Tholian' to me. Just looks like a Reman-Jem'Hadar kitbash on parts from other ships. Though the screenshots have usually been horribly angled in STO's history of displaying ships....
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

Nah, looks more Caitian to me.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

Speaking of angle, is that the rear or front end? I'll probably like the ship when I see it, but right now, I just can't picture it yet. (Also, the three "pointy ends" seem to be movable, and in an "open" position.)
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

well to be fair, we've only seen the small attack-fighter sized Tholian ships in the shows... so the only thing they had to go for in Tholian ship design is the sharp triangle shapes.
and they can't all resemble the small version. so i say wait till you see for yourself, truly see it, before you judge

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
I have to say although the model looks nice.. it doesn't feel Tholian. This is due to the coloration of the hull. It feels too feddy with it being blue. Granted in the series where they have appeared we have only seen the webbing interceptors. However their hulls were beige/sandstone colored. As matter of principle, due to racial designs, material availability and environmental/atmospheric concerns, all races have kept the same material/color consistancy. Klingon ships have been primarily green, starfleet silver/white, romulan/reman another shade of green, lyren purple, etc. Tholians have been beige/sandstone and i think they need to stick with that color/material combination not some federation/caitian looking shiny blue.

they were beige/sandstone colored in TOS, yes, but in Enterprise, their color was similiar to the one you see now.
and personally, this color looks better than the TOS one, though that one wasn't terrible either

Wonder if one of there moves would be the web and what will it do. will it stop our engines or reduce power to certain systems,
I have to say just like someone else in this group has just said that has now made my desktop picture replaceing the DS9 wallpaper

one of their moves will definitely be their web. if we touch it, hull will melt fast... but we can shoot at nodes of it, disabling sections of it, allowing escape. Not much is known about it yet other than that
screenshots are floating around on the forums somewhere.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

I don't care how long you've been playing. I only care about how you play.
And remember to follow the rules.

Those ships look awesome, nice way to re-envision them.
Nice and insect like, like the Tholians in Enterprise.
This just became my new desktop. It actually beat ESD for that honor.
... Thanks Tholians.
