Setting subscriptions for threads?

Seriously. Where do I go to set auto subscribe and email me when there is a new post in a thread I've sub'd to? I've clicked everything I can find in the user cp, and although i have found my list of subscriptions, it's all empty with no option to turn it on. With the sheer volume of posts that this website goes through in a day, the few threads I post in get easily lost, and this was a very useful feature to let me keep track of who I was talking to and what.
And any way to get our old subs back before the merge?

Unfortunately, I am not actually receiving email notifications even though they are set correctly in the subscription. One user told me that PWE don't offer Instant Email Notifation :mad:. Askray confirmed it's not working for him either :frown:
A major pain if you want to keep track of a thread.
I thought we were just gonna have to sub manually until auto was the default!

Only saw this on another thread today. Tell me if you get a Notification Email for your subscription. Pretty sure its not enabled on the forums.
I didn't get email notifications on the old board, so that was just a nice bonus, but not having subs in your user cp would be extremely annoying. I also didn't see a manual subscription per post button.

Not sure why you couldn't "find" it -- It's right there if you click on the link. You have to use the link to get there, it's not under the NewForums(tm) control panel.
The manual subscription is under reply -- either quote someone or use the "advanced" button when you're quick-replying.
There will be a dropdown for Notification type.
Alternately, at the top of the thread there is a "subscribe" under thread tools.

The "No Email Notifications" is the option you want to add the thread so any new posts show on your CP page. (Since apparently email notifications are broken).

You misunderstand, I meant I couldn't find that page when I was looking for it in user CP before I made this thread. Your link worked fine. I probably could have phrased my reply a bit better.

Yes, I misunderstood your reply, but there are people that can't see things right in front of them (I did tech support for a while, so I tend to assume the worst).

Ah, yeah, you can set subscriptions with that page, but mail notifications are broken.
