Funny thing happened to me today

I scraped my dilitium together to get 80 cp to go with my 800 cp i got from my 1000 zen i got.
to get 4 doff packs and this is what happend.

    Yup, it's happened before. Some lovely person for 3 in a row of the D'Koras one night. Zone chat was a rather testy when folks saw that go by....

    I bought 10 packs when the new packs came out. I am a DOFF hor and I had the spare points, so why not. I got a Tuffli on my 2nd or 3rd pack and I was thrilled (sold it for 82.5 million). A few hours later I decided to spend some of my new cash on a few more packs, mainly hoping for a cannon focused Energy Weapons Officer. Bought 5 more packs for around 4 million each. Got another Tuffli. And 2 purple cannon officers. I almost passed out.

    Of course that means that all of my luck has now been used up for the next 20 years or so.

    I know the feeling. I got 5 D'koras in a 48 hour period. Sold 3 and gave 2 to fleetmates. Feels weird after the first 2.

    Yep... that ol' "random number generator" works PERFECTLY!!! no reason to EVER question how it works...

    and the beautiful thing is that you can ignore any oddities by simply declaring "it's random, that's how it works, ANYTHING could happen."

    Just out of curiosity, what are those "prototype ablative jevonite hardpoints" that the OP apparently also received with one of the packs?

    They are consumables that give you +100 to hull integrity for a few minutes.
    You can craft them using doff missions.

    prototype ablative jevonite hardpoints can also be bought on the exchange I bought a bunch of them before to try out when I did the price was about 100K each. They did seem to be effective to me. But I never went back and got more.

    Same thing happened to me when I picked up 2x D'Kora in the batch of 10 keys :)
