Please Stop With the Stickies

Due to a combination of the new forum layout and the mountain of stickies, I have to scroll down three pages before I can see anything worthwhile. Do we really need eleven sticky/announcement threads?

    There are eight.
    1 of them will be dropped after it's event is over.
    Another one might be dropped aftr the CP/Zen conversion.

    Three Stickies as Announcements under the header,
    Seven for the Uninformed in their halls of ignorance,
    Nine for community doomed to complain,
    One for the Dark Masters on their dark throne (rules)
    In the Land of STO Forums where the Moderators lie.

    One STICKY to rule them all, One STICKY to find them,
    One STICKY to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
