Suttle PvP games

Hello everyone.

Just wondering about if is a really bad behavior or not to play any PvP game using a shuttle.

We not have a full PvP game using only shuttles, and because the big fiasco related with the Vault event, we have no better reason to use a shuttle in the game, aside the game episodes and foundry missions or any fleet event.

The FED players have a lot of options to play using shuttles, and KDF have only 3, and one of these is a Veteran reward.

My doubt is about the posture with the other players. A player using a suttle can be a easy target and can mess the game of the other members of your team, but have a great better speed and a awesome turn rate. I don't know if is fair or unfair for your own (random) team.


Playing as shuttle can be good to gain experience and know how to improve your ship with a limited and small selection of weapons, consoles, devices and keep the majory part of skills from your toon, not of your bridge officer. And is really fun.

I want to check with everyone if is fair or unfair, if someone have a opinion or an idea of playing PVP games using shuttles.

    It comes down to you as being a player you have a right to choose how you play the game. However, shuttles are far too weak for top level t5+ ships.

    Your pvp etiquitte will be damaged slightly by entering arenas with shuttles, their capabilities are way below t5+ top level ships, therefore damaging your teams chances of winning.

    I recommend if you want to pvp in a shuttle, enter Kerrat as there are no rules or time limit there, and if you really want to queue go far Cap and Hold over Arena if you can.

    I think they may, may be competitive with mirandas. Other than that, in arenas, I can't imagine you not being a detriment to the team unless you're really awesome and pug-stomping newbies.

    I'd have to say that queuing for a PvP match in a shuttle is not something to be encouraged and in my book is borderling greifing. As another poster said, you have a right to choose how you play the game but a PvP match is a team event and if you queue in a shuttle, you basically TRIBBLE everyone else on your team.

    As an example, last night there were a group of two or three fed players continually queuing up for VA/LG FvK PvP in shuttles. Each of the matches they were in were pointless excersises, as their team was so weakened by their shuttle's lack of combat ability as to have no hope and the opposition were getting nothing out of it as it was a foregone conclusion. Many complaints were heard from both sides of the matches concerned.

    Having said all that, Shuttle PvP is great fun and something I enjoy but it needs to be in a private match, where everyone has agreed beforehand to fly only shuttles / fighters. You could try asking on "Shuttle_Wars" or "OrganizedPvP" if you wanted to get such a match going.

    I like the idea of just creating a whole new category for shuttle pvp only because shuttle pvp would be fun and it would be the most balanced out of all the pvp matches on a consistent basis. And to encourage people to play it make it a daily mission.

    Funny thing, we had a vulcan pug shuttle player on our team. He performed better and lasted longer and was more of a team player than the armitage pug we had the second round. :P

    I hope you get maybe a 'shuttle wars' thing set up :)
