Paper Doll (Character Page): LOVE the addition of clickable icons to enable and disable visual effects.
Would love to see this feature added to the ship page as to turn on / off set pieces.
DOFF: LOVE the clearer nature of the DOFF Rarity and DOFF Rarity Missions.
Though I still would like to see Unique DOFFs from Chains, 1-Time Unlocked DOFFs, and Reward DOFFs have somekind of indicator as to prevent accidental losses. (There one person in the accolade community who accidentally traded his Gul and lost it).
Inventory Sort: I'm not sure what others thing, but I personally DO NOT like it. One accidental click and my entire organized inventory is FUBARed. Especially since I keep my inventory at the bottom, not the top.
I would like to see this button moved to a less dangerous location. That or an Undo Button is added to restore inventory to a previous sorting.
MiniMap Icons: It's great that the PvP Button was replaced by the more used PvE Tab.
The Fleet Tab, not sure people outside of fleets would like to be staring at that. So might want to revise it.
C-store Tab now the Zen Tab.
* C-store Values still not converted into Zen
Nofication Settings: /thumbs up
Future Requests:
Replicator Tab being sorted on category.
Accolade Tab being redone.
Fleet: Very disappointed how the Fleet System does not account for very small fleets, where they might have only a few people on, and not able to even do the 5-person events. More or less the 20-person events.
Account Bank on Ship: /thumbs up (Though wish we can do something about those icons).
DS9: Morn!
Just how I expected him to be handled with his conversations. But that mini-cut scene.........I cracked up!
But how could you guys put him in the wrong spot? :frown:
And where are the other bar stools?
Events:
Vault: Nice its no longer time-gated but why is the reward of Datalogs still only for the Event? While the normal queued rewards only Dilthium?
Fleet Marks: I can see people being annoyed by this being time-gated like the Vault was.
CE: Where is the Crystaline Entity?? Foundry:
Story:
Text windows still are too small. Needs widened.
Bajor-Hathon needs to be looked at.
Maps:
Special: Interaction Icons still doubled on Right
NPC Contacts: Cadet 07 is not like the others, Tezev is listed twice.
Advanced Behavior: Legacy Combat still not defined
State Tab: Still off to the side instead of centered.
Still Problems with the Objects on the Map, where some need to be set to transparent (like the Foundation Blocks).
Objects with different altitudes should have the ones above them take priority. That way if you are stacking one above another, it's easier to differentiate with customized maps.
**Still be nice to have the Customized Map option be available so players can use empty maps that could be used for player created interiors.
Ground Maps:
Like the new additions such as the banners and with the pictures, you can adjust them to get a better look without putting them on the map.
Anyway we could get a "reset" button to reset the view to the traditional oblique angle? That way when you switch to a different object, you don't have to adjust that, and can easily determine if it's useful or not.
Space Maps:
Some Objects like Destroyed Planet do not show with the update and looks like the old Planet model, so if customizing a hollowed planet like with the one outside Starbase 39, it be difficult.
Some map effects no longer show boundries.
Costume Ground:
Upper Body now appropriately changes the upper costume, without changing the head or lower outfit.
Customization Selections improved.
Still Lacking Numerical Values when it comes to customization, like character height.
Custom Space:
Still a total disaster IMHO.
Some ships not appearing in the viewscreen.
Some ships are awkward in the viewscreen, like the Bortas, Vo'Quv, and Odyssey.
Some ships have repeats listed.
Buttons on the Customization UI that have no purpose.
Ship Selection does not default to the canonical ship, to make it easier for adding NPCs.
Ship Components are not "nice and neat"
Ships mislabed
Ships missing Varients
C-store / Zen Ships missing from the inventory
Ship Randomizer buttons at the bottom both list "All" (Don't need two buttons for the same thing).
Fleet: Very disappointed how the Fleet System does not account for very small fleets, where they might have only a few people on, and not able to even do the 5-person events. More or less the 20-person events.
But they can do those events without having many, if anyone, online, as anyone in a fleet (of any type) can queue publicly or privately to do 4 out of 5 of the events that reward fleet marks. (Fleet Red Alerts being the exception in that they need 5 of their own fleet online).
Inventory Sort: It is a very small Quality of Life improvement in what I wish was a fully moddable UI, but nevertheless it is appreciated. Definitely handy in many cases but needs some work still. When I have different quantity stacks of the same item, the Sort keeps shuffling them back and forth. I'm also someone who is finicky about what order my items go in, so if the codebase allows an option menu to rank sorting priority that would be "Dammit-Jim-Dandy"
MiniMap Icons: I am liking the latest tweaks, but I think it's painfully obvious that the "minimap box" is now too small compared to the rest of the UI. I have my UI scale to where I feel everything is comfortable, except this box. Generally I try to use my keybinds and ignore clicking on it altogether.
My fleet leaders are certainly happy to see a fleet button. Though I acknowledge that The Fleetless may not appreciate it. At the very least if someone is not in a Fleet the button could go straight to the fleetfinder, or some kind of Social menu. Popping open a big blank window with a tiny smattering of text doesn't seem to serve any use. If I click a button, I want to see interface with functionality.
Fleet Events: There is still a lot of confusion among my veteran fleetmates what FAs vs. Events require. When creating a queue the minimum player requirement is not obvious enough. "Where's the Start button?" The cross-faction options are not obvious enough. I did spot the very nicely done "split" images to signify FED/KDF queues, but they are essentially buried.
I'm just going to say the UI needs to smack you in the face with what you can actually do. Look at this STOwiki table, there is NO DOUBT. It is perfect. There should not be a moment of doubt whether I can watch/ask for invitations in our cross-faction fleet channel. There should not be a moment of doubt if I can start an event with less than 5 or less than 15. The holy grail would be a big fat "Make Public" button because we've spent 10 minutes gathering 12 fleeties and just need 3 more randoms to get it rolling.
I'm surprised there's still a question of why are Reman Datalogs still time gated.... so that the Mark XII Reman set stays relatively rare. If people can get 150 chips per day, they're going to do it. Might as well just change the recipe and then the whole exercise becomes moot...
=/\=Transwarp 10.0 Victory Achieved on 26-July-2012, Six Months After F2P =/\=
I dig the new away team picker, nice to see graphics. If you animate it (transport effect) and/or have them using their poses instead of the static ones that they have now, double sweet.
The CE is gone..

That was announced about a week ago if I remember correctly.

Just tried the Fleet System - I greatly dislike it. It's obviously made for super-large fleets, not close-knit fleets of a few people. So small fleets have an option, "expand or die".
And nobody likes the idea of Fleet Grinding and losing Rare Doffs that they worked hard to advance. So be nice if the Fleet System scaled based on the size of your fleet, that way small fleet don't feel peer pressured.
1. "I greatly dislike it. It's obviously made for super-large fleets"
The fleet system was built for fleets of all sizes. It spools up fairly slowly so its very accessible on the low end to fleets of even a single person, but then grows to be more of a challenge for larger fleets. It was quite a design feat to make a system we feel caters to the fleet of 1 and fleet of 500 while being as fair as we could to each. While it's true it will be very difficult for a small fleet, 1-5 people, to progress to T5, T3 is still very very attainable in a reasonable amount of time. Heretic always belongs to small fleets/guilds in games he plays and constantly made sure that the design did not sway too far to the large fleets.
2. "Be nice if they gave an explaination why."
The CE was rarely played and beyond difficult for most PUGs. We want to remove it from the rotation until we can properly balance it, and then reintroduce it in its updated state. When it comes back the trophy will still be available, and it should be more fun and playable than its current iteration.

Which means this is gone for good, like every other piece of content that was shut down for "re balancing" and then forgotten about. Like the DS9 fleet action, and all the cut STF content. Or the completely nerfed into pointlessness Terrordome.
My fleet took on CE every week or so, and had a blast every time. This is going to sadden a lot of our Fleet action wing members.
I am disappointed that you cannot just come out an say your yanking the content for good, since it takes you 6 months to a year to fix this stuff if at all, and we are left high and dry for all that time.

First off, appricate the response.
But could you please elaborate how small fleets can compete? I'm very curious how you guys are visualizing it.

Well I'm glad you guys are finally fixing the CE, but why the need to remove it from the game til it's fixed? It's not like other content that was bugged, it's just difficult (not impossible) to defeat. As for the Event, well that can go til the CE is fixed.
But as for Balancing, here is what I propose (and suggested it on the forums before).
Put back in the Original Version 1 CE for Pre-Tier 5's. Remember you guys made the CE harder because people were exploiting the Ramming to 1-shot it, with Ramming being nerfed, that's no longer a problem. And if I remember correctly, it was quiet a challenge pre-Captain.
A Tier 4 CE for Captains that can have more HPs and perhaps a increased shard waves.
A Tier 5 Easy version that's a further take on that.
A Tier 5 Elite Version, which is the current CE, that yields unique rewards. With the Fleet System, this could even be part of the events, and have it be Fleet-only (or Fleets with friend invites).

Be nice if they gave an explaination why. So those who never got the trophy / accolade will never able to get it now. So thank you Cryptic.
I'll address your concerns in order:
