Fleet Xp

I'm a little confused on how we run for Fleet XP - I can figure out Marks, Engineering FXP, Science FXP and Tactical FXP - but where does standard Fleet XP for building our bases come from?

    We're going to update the UI to be clearer, but just as there is military, engineering, and science FXP there is Starbase FXP.

    In order to earn FXP you must complete construction projects on your facilities. When you update your ship yard, BOOM starbase FXP. Each tier of starbase requires a set number of facility upgrades, simple as that.

    So is this a case that I need to run say...(and the names escape me) but 'Aid local colonies' to get Science FXP, and when I've got enough of that to upgrade my comm array, I get some Starbase FXP from that?

    Or am I getting the wrong end of that altogether?


    Maybe a short tutorial on 'How to hit T1' might be good for thsoe of us testing :)


    Love the system, just unclear on how some of it is working.

    You are exactly correct. You run regular projects to unlock your facilities. When you run the construction project on your facility you get the facility upgrade AND starbase FXP.

    Science: Com Array and Transwarp
    Military: Ship Yard
    Engineering: Industrial Fabricator

    Each tier you actually construct gives you a bump in starbase FXP!

    Ah yes, this makes a lot more sense then - it won't take much explaining in the UI just a clarification on the M/S/E FXP Tier's that we get Starbase FXP when we hit that tier.

    i posted this elsewhere but it seems relevant here as well. im not sure the second number on the right is tracking correctly, assuming im reading it right. i think they should both be the same figure.

    So, in order to upgrade your starbase to Tier 1, you need to reach 10k FXP in all three sub-departments ?

    The implication so far seems to be one of them rather than all.

    Currently the number you're circling in your image indicates the total Fleet XP your fleet has earned across all categories.

    Rehpic stated in another thread that the number on the right is the correct number of "Fleet XP", the one on the left should be the same one, but currently (a bug) it shows a sum of all Military/Science/Engineering FXP.

    And you get those Fleet XP to move by advancing any of the Military/Science/Engineering FXP to next tier.

    EG.: Advancing Military to Tier I (getting 10 000 Military FXP) will grant you 1 000 Fleet XP. That, btw is enough to advance the whole base to Tier I.

    Well, that should be it.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    So filling up one sub-tier box (sub tier I mean Military, Science, Engineering) equals 1 Starbase tier box?

    OK, correct me If i am wrong, but this is what I am picking up so far.

    Yes, basically once you get any ONE of the three branches up to Tier 1 (lets say military for example), it gives you 1,000 FXP which lets you upgrade the starbase to Tier one.

    Once you are Tier 1, you need to get to 3,000 FXP to upgrade to overall Tier 2. You could either get Sci and Eng both to Tier 1. That would give you three total upgrades (or 3k FXP) to let you upgrade to Tier 2 overall. OR you can upgrade Military to Tier2 and either of the others to Tier 1 and still upgrade the overall.

    God I wrote that 3 times, and even though I know what I am trying to say, I do not know if it is understandable to anyone else.

    Really no idea about that, all I can say is I didn't yet see any limitation to keep running low Tier projects over and over and thus getting to higher Tiers in say Miitary while not doing any of the upgrade projects (like the Fleet upgrade to next Tier). On the other hand, you'd usually like to upgrade the starbase as soon as possible.

    More or less: filling up the first tier in any category will give you as reward 1 000 Fleet XP, which is a requirement for the Starbase upgrading to Tier I.

    Then, in order to upgrade the SB to higher Tiers, the requirements are higher (don't see the numbers right now), i.e. completing the first tier in another category and getting another 1 000 Fleet XP will not be enough to warrant you an upgrade project to Tier II.

    Oh, now I notice CaptainSammy wrote pretty much the same example complete with numbers. :redface:
