guys if you do not have 100 accolade you will not get tech drops so do normal till you get it and get right gear I ship loose the star cruiser I see flooding it now
get heal abillities for cure space
Gozer can you add the repair function from vault



get engiineering team 1
Science team 1
hazzard team
click on kang then one of these wow you just healed it simple not hard
carriers are great for science abilites
up your consoles to 12 if you have not blue cheaper than purple

good tip stick with one that pays 12 chips upgade weapns hen do cure it will make your life easier trust

    What accolades you have do not impact tech drops. Neither does optional completion. They are random.

    I assume you mean the "100 STF runs" accolade, not 100 different accolades.
    The forums are filled with people complaining that STF newbies get tech drops, and vets with 300 runs don't. So you're just wrong. :tongue:

    On one of my characters I was lucky enough to get a proto tech drop on a 3rd run of an STF, add that into your calculations.:wink:

    Random drops means you could get it 1st time or you could go 300 times without hitting the jackpot.

    don't get me wrong here it is much better
    with this patch
    you have a much fair chance of completing
    but running with main have all proper accolades no tech just 2 12 chips ?

    they increased it that is why you got one

    i am right on option you get a quicker shot to get it
    b y the way on infected space elite i got a 12 proto sheild 4rth run it is a lottey
    after today it will be hard to get with so many running cure

    they give tech drops more regulary
    what makes the system screwed up is I have done everything correct and you just start and get it at third try that is not fair that part needs to change

    I have been doing this since tribble and yet to get a space or ground set
    I would like to say I got old set during season 5 not just buy it I am ready to buy I have 3 stacks 99 EDC and started 4th

    rotate who watches kang so who needs to reset timerthe main thing with cure is you have to have right ship set up for it
    you have to work together
    do math 20 missions running at same time do you think you have a fair shot at getting tech no
    because bullheaded noobs farm it instead of someone that has earnd it why we need a seperate server for silver give us gold members the first right to the tech
    i have spent a very long time trying to get space set i have 2 just need engine
    should not be a lottery system

    Personally I prefer MRRML, but either works fine (so long as everyone does the same one :P).

    But yea, escort on the kang, SV, even badly setup eng or sci scort should be able to take two lanes and raptor lane. Well setup tac/escort can fall asleep taking all three bops, drop left raptors in sub 15 seconds (prior to raptor nerf) and then go help with the other raptors and cube. :P

    Trying to outheal damage from raptors and bops in CSE is just...very risky and pointless.

    I know most people in this thread are completely aware of how to do CSE, but I'm still going to respond to some of these ramblings in case a new player reads them.

    First off, STF accolades do not increase your tech drops. It's the same chance of a drop whether you've done 3 or 300 STFs. Service medals, Team Commander Accoloades etc. don't effect it either. What would be the point in someone who has an Elite Commander accolade (and therefore a full Mk XII set) having their chances of tech drops increased? Accolades are just there to be accolades, and in some cases to afford a custom player title. Some players just like to collect them as part of completing as much of the game as they can.
    Since each instance of CSE is independent from all the others, the number of people running CSE at the same wouldn't effect the drop rate in each instance either. Now maybe Gozer will chime in and tell me all of this is wrong, but I seriously doubt it.

    Second, healer on the Kang and rotating who's covering the Kang.

    This is bad advice imo. Healing the Kang in itself is obviously not a bad idea, but putting a dedicated healboat on it is. It will not be able to defend the Kang by itself, and the heals will be overwhelmed eventually. This is therefore a bad idea unless you're committing two players to the Kang, which hurts the optional chance unless the 3 players on the shipyards have a lot of DPS. If that's the case so why not just have one of them cover the Kang instead (see below), and committ the other 4 players to attacking the shipyards? Changing around who's on the Kang sounds like a needless complication. Why bother doing that?

    What will defend the Kang successfully is an Escort that can drop 2/3 BoPs and Raptors by itself in short order. I've seen people do it with carriers too using a combination of CC from their own abilities and DPS from the pets, although I've not tried that myself. With this method, the Kang will need minimal healing because the borg won't actually be able to attack it all that much, if at all.

    Here's what you do:

    Have the Escort defend the Kang, and have the other 4 players attack the shipyard to the right. The 4 players pick up the BoPs that spawn at that shipyard and then start attacking the probes, whilst the player on the Kang destroys the BoPs from the left and the middle. The 4 players then destroy the Raptor and Negh'Var that spawn once a probe from the top row is destroyed. They then finish off the probes and anything else that has spawned there, before leaving the cube untouched and going to the middle

    Same story there. The 4 destroy the probes and anything that spawns, whilst the Escort on the Kang takes any BoPs spawning at the right and left shipyards. Once the probes and the spawned ships in the middle are destroyed, the 4 players destroy the middle cube and head back to the right.

    When they reach the right they take care of the Raptors there (usually with help from the Kang Escort, once he's back from taking care of the Raptors coming from the left) and destroy the cube.

    Then everyone goes over to the left and takes care of the probes, cube and anything that spawns, including Negh'Vars.

    This is what people mean when they say "RMMRL".

    You can start in the middle either, don't see what major difference it would make.

    I'd also prefer if sean stopped posting BS about STFs and tech drops.

    The problem with RMMRL is:
    1. leaving the left probes untouched has you dealing with taking out the probes duing the neg'vhar spawn
    2. the time it takes to cover the distance from the right cube to the left cube
    3. you also have to deal with the extra neg'vhar and raptor when you are taking out the probes during the neg'vhar spawn

    Why not take all probes out first going RML or LMR than split into two group to take out Left/ middle cube or right/middle than concentrate on right cube or left cube.

    Agreed. DPS is needed to protect the Kang. A Competent carrier seems to work best.

    A couple of "Don't do this" comments.

    Parking on top of the Kang lets them get too close. It might work if they actually paid attention to aggro, but they don't, they're scripted to just go in a straight line and shoot the Kang. (Which is a peeve of mine, it would make my tank more useful in Cure if they actually aggro'd correctly.) I saw someone in a Bortasqu trying to do this. Yay, he had the biggest ship. But the Kang was getting shot out from underneath him, aggravated by him apparently not cluing to heal the Kang.

    It's part of the kill-teams job to keep raptors from "escaping" to get close enough to the Kang. Main mistake I've seen is that one person calls "protecting the Kang," then everyone else proceeds to just ignore the raptors.

    ---

    If anything, I'd say 1 protector, 1 chaser, and the other three can work the cube stacks.

    (Chaser can work nanites too, but main concern is to make sure the protector doesn't get over-run.)

    When I do Cure Space Elite in an escort I'd be protector and chaser. I'd start off getting the middle and left ships, then I'd head to the right and help with the spawned ships until new ones came from the other 2 sides, then I'd head off and take care of them again. It is so easy to do if you are willing to move your ship around, which most Kang protectors are not willing to do. They just sit there and wait for the borgified ships to come to them, which is the wrong thing to do (I agree with what beezle23 said). Using that tactic usually means losing the optional because other ships have to come and help protect the Kang, so time runs out.

    Read skhc's post above for an easy strategy to use for Cure Space Elite.

    I've never had real problems with those. :confused:

    RML works fine you have a good enough team. Important thing in both is that people who are attacking a shipyard remember to pick up their spawns.

    the optioal gets you the tech more regularly

    I have the engine during this weeks event i am on tribble creating something real cool

    When I said RML I meant right probes AND cube before moving to middle, not all probes before the cubes. Probes and cube is the generally accepted definition of RML.
