"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
not media player. I would be happy if it could support it. it uses instead winamp... the only reason I have winamp on my pc, cause the music player cant recognise media player (it would be better, cause I can control MP with my keyboard, but I need something to control the volume, and my keyboard sets the system volume, not MP volume)
I may be reading your post wrong, but it seems to imply that running the music player part of the GUI causes the game to play the music. This is not the case -- it's simply a set of buttons for play, pause, previous, and next to control either iTunes or Winamp running separately.
As I have global hotkeys on my keyboard for media functions, I use this mostly just to catch the title of a song playing while cruisin' around the galaxy.
ALL i want is for them to add something with a doctor's coat over the uniform... similar to Dr.Crusher of TNG but a bit more updated... then my character can dress like her grandma, Beverly!

It;s not a player but just an ingame interface for those two programs.
You may want to search the forums for media player as this has been discussed at much length if you still need help.

thats what i do sound in game sucks anyway
You have to tell it to use winamp.
I would just run winamp in the background and not worry about linking it to the game, the in-game gui leaves much to be desired.

I just use VLC over the top of everything.
