Seriously, I would trade never having a signature again for the ability to customize our avatars.

    The great thing about avatars is that they don't come after a post. They come at the beginning, so people don't have to scroll down to get an "at a glance" visual representation of who they're dealing with. Also avatars are conveniently right there by a user's name... which has now also been screwed up just to be doubly inconvenient to us lowly forum posters.

    There is not one positive thing about this forum change or the forcing one to have a PWE account just to even log in to the website of a game and forum I've had a Cryptic account for for 3-4 years.

    It's absolutely pathetic. Cannot wait until GW2 comes out and I truly hope STO dies.

    I've been in the forum for three years and posted thousands of times. Now, I have fewer posts than new trolls. *sigh*

    I'd definitely like to have custom avatars back. It's much faster/simpler to recognise a poster from their Avatar. A problem I had on the SWTOR forums. I feel we're all just a number now. Footer images are just a luxury and remember when we didn't have them.

    ... I realize our previous histories are, well, inaccessible... but can we even view a list of our new post without running a search? I can't find any place that lists our posting histories like we've had previously. That's... inconvenient. And not helped by the fact that the search function is apparently broken. :rolleyes:

    And now we have a dumb post-counter... something Cryptic has continually told us they would not implement as such things tend to work against the community since many people will weigh posts on the number of "ticks" as opposed to actual content... and because of that it makes things even worse by encouraging SPAM.

    We can't even mark the forum/sub-forum's read. Our new cage seems to lack 'basic' functionality.
