So now I can't buy C points and I have to buy Zen and then covert that to C points?
Which is yet another currency we all have to worry about.
So that means we now have 2 currencies outside the game and about 4 inside the game?

So for me to now work out how much I need to spend on a new ship
I have to take the Local Currency in New Zealand (i live in NZ), covert that to US (or other currency that zen wants to use) then covert US to Zen then Zen to C points

And to top it all off it seems I cant even buy Zen as I get this

* At least one of your characters must be level 10 or higher.

I have a number of level 50 chars on my account already.

Zen is also a very stupid name for a currency.

    .....

    ....

    .....

Just felt like throwing it out there.

I am in the same boat, I just tried to 'charge my Zen' and it sys I need a lvl 10 character. I have quite a few lvl 50s as well. What gives?

This is a completely unnecessary change from a player's viewpoint, obviously a fail decision by a parent company exercising its will over a smaller company.

Let's aliennate the playerbase some more, shall we?

I admit i'm a little confused by the Zen / CPoint thing as well. Perhaps they will give us some kind of Q&A on it?

if i were you ppl id simple reinstall the game via STEAM and use the steam wallet to pay for your C-Points..

its quicky, its more secure, its priced in local currencies. and theres not VAT..

oh and most importantly its INSTANT! no waiting around

Steam is your best bet to get around this horrific mess. At least until they quash that and zen becomes the default; Which will probably mean vastly increasing prices across the board.

I am hoping that they convert our Cryptic Points to Zen and get rid of Cryptic Points since it looks like everything is done through PWE now. I don't want to convert my Zen to Cryptic if they are only selling Zen points and the game only accept Cryptic Points. Although the conversion to Zen if it happens makes it easier to understand since we can easily find out the price of a C-Store item instead of doing a calculation. After all 500 Zen is worth $5 instead of 500 CP is worth $6.25.

I merged my account a little while ago. using the zen thing is ok. a little more time consuming, although you do get a record of what points you have bought and when, and if you buy in bulk you get a tiny amount extra free.

    its better, just less streamlined.

It's not better if it won't let people buy. I bought through the Perfect World website a while ago and now I'm getting the level 10 error that others are getting. Annoying.

It's plenty bad enough that purchasing things like extra duty officer slots aren't account wide.

You do realize that it is possible to fill out surveys and watch videos to earn zen, right?
