Friday Night Foundry Theatre – April 27th – 2 Timeslots (BST and PDT/EDT)

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
Hi Captains!

I am organizing an in-game (Holodeck) Foundry event for this coming Friday.

The first timeslot will be at 9pm BST/ 1pm PDT/ 4pm EDT.

The second timeslot will be at 5pm PDT/ 8pm EDT/ 1am BST.

This was an idea suggested through different channels and one I have been extremely excited to do! Before this Friday, by replying to this thread, please suggest the names of Foundry missions that you think would be great for the community to run -- they need to take one hour or less to complete and you can suggest both Fed and KDF missions.

Let's plan to meet on Deep Space Nine, in the upper-most level of Quark's Bar, and proceed from there. I will choose two randomly submitted missions (1 Fed, 1 KDF) from below and let everyone know to accept it from the Foundry library. Please join the REDALERT channel to see any communication from myself.

If you can't make it Friday, I would like to try and do these often, and on different days/ times. Feel free to post constructive feedback in here with ideas, including if you would like to see this expanded to other types of events (STFs, Fleet Actions, PvP etc.).

I hope to see many of you on Friday!

Cheers,

Brandon =/\=

    Neat event.

I'll recommend Alimac's brand new "The Mayns of Balnar Moon," although I think it may be longer than an hour.

He spent 5 months making it.

Most folks I know are on a freeway or a train by 5pm PST. There really needs to be events which are hosted after the traditional dinner hour for PST player's.

It would really help if each group of five had one person reading the text. Playing foundry as a group is really bugged, when one person closes a dialogue box and it disappears for everyone.

Some kind of organization of the group play might help, if anyone wants to volunteer.

For KDF I'll like to suggest my mission, "The Tribble with Q"
It can be a bit laggy for lower end machines just to give you a warning.

As for Fed side, I have a mountain of missions, some of them are buggy, and I'm waiting on the foundry updates in season six to fix them all, but I'd like to suggest "The Ends Justify the Means, Pt's 1 and 2"Part three will come out after season six so sorry if it's a tease =)

Hope people will try my other missions. I plan a rework of all my missions after season six.

I thought this *was* basically an in game version of the Foundry spotlight?

This was a challenging mission for brave Klingon's. The fighting was intense, the kind feddies cry about. Review this mission, and live to tell your great grand children of the great victory fought hard for. The scenic walls of fortress was the best environment i have ever seen. At least it should get a PW "Oscar" for graphical environment.

I recently updated my scaling enemies on one of my missions with the information from Nagorak's mob scaling research. I humbly propose you consider playing 'Spectre of the Past'!

    Shameless self promotion?

    "Save the Utopia".

30min Fed Mission, geared for solo play, with space and ground combat.

I was thinking about this, but we wouldn't be able to get through all of them :( And, then those that did get run during this event would have an unfair advantage. Don't worry though! There is going to be some great promotion around the voting for Challenge #2 :)

How about you run through the top mission of each faction of the last challenge?

And then after this challenge is done, you could do the same at a future event.

Ok, so I had a lot of fun, but my team wouldn't read the story, and it made me feel guilty for making them wait. The maps of "Fear the Revelation" were amazing. I'm very impressed.

I would like to suggest something for future events, though.

If someone tried to do this with one of my missions, it would be uber fail because of the team dynamics and bugs.

Perhaps these kinds of group events could be purely battlefest STFs. Maybe the foundry community could have contests for group-friendly KDF and Fed missions that would work much better for these types of events.

I don't know if others had a similar experience. I wanted to read and everyone else wasn't.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the event today! We ran "Federation Desperation" for KDF players and "Fear the Revelation" for Federation players.

See you at next week's event! :)

    Cheers,
