Implied Targetting

At launch when you activated a "Friend or Self" BOFF ability while having an enemy targetted then that ability would affect whatever player that NPC had targetted.

Has this Implied Target mechanic been removed? Ran a bunch pf STFs on Tribble over the last couple of days and I didn't seem to be able to effect friendlies unless I explicity targetted them. I have the "Assist Target on Attack" (or whatever its called) option set to ON . . . which previously allowed Implied Targetting for heals and " [x] Team" abilities, etc . . . am I missing something (just resubbed after a small break) or has the feature been removed?

    Yeah, this hasn't worked since S4 went live, I believe. It makes healing more difficult, that's for sure. I've lost count how many times I've needlessly healed myself after checking my target's target was a teammate. :mad:

    Yes, it is annyoing how the Sci/Tac/Engineer team BOFF abilities don't target correctly. Even when I have speciffically targeted either myself or an ally, it fails to buff my intended target. This is really frustrating when I end up Tac team on a ship that get destroyed in less than 3 seconds, or the Engineer team buffs an ally at 100%. I wish the option screen would allow us to set targeting preferences for weapons and buffs.

    Some suggestions:
    Weapons: Auto Target Weakest, Auto Target strongest, Auto Target Crusier, Auto Target Escort, Target Only selected, Target Nearest Enemy, Target nearest to center of fire, auto retalliate (shoot a who is shooting you).

    Healing Buffs: Auto heal weakest ally(to include self), Self Only, Heal selected ally, Heal target enemy's target, heal nearest ally, Allies only.

    Attack/Evade non-heal buffs: Self only, strongest ally, Nearest ally, Weaskest ally, Buff target enemy's target.

    Cool ideas. But, right now, I'd just be happy with a fix to what S4 broke!

    it took you this long to notice?.... pvp'rs noticed it day one and bugged it and all that fun stuff. not a word in reply to it. so we all assume its working as intended and was one of those "we hope they wont notice this big change to the game we slipped in while we shout about how awsome ground combat is now" moments.

    I just subbed up after taking a break that started just before S4 hit . . . so its all still new to me.
