those are definitely new weapons sprites, and definitely not just 2 duel cannons, those are quad cannons. same dps as duel heavy cannons, 3 shots per cycle maybe?

this is a good time for those awesome quad cannons to directly replace the standard duel cannons. duel cannons could then be made a lower dps/wider arc weapon. hopefully this quad cannon inst just a mission reward, but a new weapon type that's just as common place to buy and craft as any other weapon type.

There are miniguns for exhaust ports on the rear. KDF are winning.
The same dev Iron Avenger, also posted a pic of the Defiant-class using quad cannons in another thread (Click number to link to pics 1 / 2).
