Rhode Island class delayed again??

How many times is this ship going to be delayed???:confused:

    As many times as it takes until Cryptic gets all the bugs out. I can only assume you haven't been following the Tribble feedback or Dev comments about the ship in any way. :)

    Yeah 58 pages uh no I'm not following the tribble forum. Can you give me a quick rundown on the problems? Thanks

    I think it is still stuck in Dry Dock with Engine problems

    The ship has an extra console spot and an extra BO spot at T2 - as well as a new Console. It makes the ship effectively T2.5 rather then T2 - and that has the PvPers upset. The ship needs to have one of the console spots removed for certain. There's also issues with how the new Console works in cooldown and whether or not it should decrease other system resources: such as lowering shield values when being used. All of that is being hammered out. There's also some sub-discussions about the ships tier and other things going on - though I don't expect the tier to be changed.

    With No Udates to tribble. They are not making any changes to it.

    They have over a week before the next release date. There's plenty of time to put a new tribble patch in place before then if they wish. Or they might now have the information they wanted and just need to time to make the adjustments to the ship. The fact that there's no tribble update doesn't mean there's no changes.

    Would you prefer a bugged or unbalanced ship, that had to be fixed first, while wreacking havoc on the game?

    The 2.5 aspect - and the fact that I can probably get away with using at T3, as well, instead of the flying massager - is really the only incentive I have to purchase it. If it just ends up being a stock T2 with a new console I'll be giving it a pass.

    You mean no updates yet. With the current schedule they have a week or two to push out updates on tribble. Plus Heritic said the Doff system was close so they might be waiting to push that and the RI changes in one build.

    Let them keep pushing it back until they figure out how to balance the thing. At least, I hope that's the reason. If so, kudos to you Cryptic! ^^

    They should release the T2.5 Klingon variant at the same time. :)

    I agree. There should be a single page for status updates on new and upcoming features. Linked from the STO home page, it would a one stop shop.

    Also, I think the Rhode Island varient should either be a new skin for the Tier 2 Nova, AND there should be a Tier 4 version that is more manuverable and with a stronger attack than the Intrepid. In essence, it would be a Sci/Escort blend.
