the only thing negative I could say about that list is that the Bajoran Chief Security Officer would be in a starfleet uniform since Bajor is in the federation. Other than that I completely agree. those are great changes. I also want the spiral staircases that are missing.

I would just like to see more Bajorans in general on the station. And yes, while Bajor has finally joined the Federation, I would still like to see some of the old militia uniforms around.
Not to get off topic, but an overhaul to Andoria where dueling is put in would be a real boon to the game. Being able to duel each other or strangers would likely be enjoyed by all.
And once again, I see no reason why these things need to be done in a linear fashion. There's no reason that they can't overhaul Vulcan AND Andoria at the same time.
A request for DS9 to get an update is NOT a request that Qo'nos not get an update, or even be delayed.

Unfortunately, the nature of having a small dev team means there there is a threshold where something must be cut for another thing to be added in its place. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they want to finish the ground combat revisions before making dueling enabled.

Fair enough. However, they sound like they go together rather nicely, and maybe they could work on them in unison. I feel dueling will be a very enjoyed feature.
Incidentally, I was tinkering in The Foundry, and I think it would be fairly easy to take existing assets from the Promenade and create the briefing room and quarters aboard DS9.
It's mainly just those big windows from the second story, some dark walls, a console, and furniture. The console. table, and furniture don't have to be 100% show accurate and there are some good stand-ins in-game. The temple archway and airlocks reappear a lot in the interiors, as do the Cardassian doors in The Foundry.
Hook those doors up similar to the existing sliding door tech, do a couple of wall textures and lighting fixtures and you have the non-essential parts od DS9 ready to go, pretty much.
I think the Promenade, overall, is the best area in game. Quark's could use some minor love, mainly putting in Morn, the classic dabo table in the center and the one they've got off to the side. Spiral staircases are a bad idea for this game anyway.
And the other areas, frankly, wouldn't take much.
The holding cells and sickbay are currently mission only areas that use a Cardassian design but they really just need Bashir and Odo's offices built up around them and then to be placed on the social hub map and in The Foundry.
Maybe some shuttles and runabouts and ships outside but high rez versions of those assets already exist.
I don't know that I would call what's needed a massive revamp. It's really just a few extra areas that call for maybe 10 new assets. What's there isn't terribly wrong although a bit of shuffling would be nice. It's mostly what's not there or brand new parts of the station built after the end of DS9 that are "wrong."
I agree with this list almost completely. I would love Rura Penthe simply for the novelty of it. And (Not that I care) but it would open up a huge door for RPers.
Though not sure what Vulcan needs. Besides Sehlats in the fields.
I would add a couple planets right after DS9, but they aren't even in the game, so sort of off topic.

Brilliant ideas, as usual. Also doesn't sound like it would be too much work for Cryptic.

Thanks. I don't want to belittle the work as it actually is work.
But, for example, if you gut the existing promenade map, get rid of the visible pylons outside, place walls, carpet, lighting, and lamps around the railing, you actually have a very serviceable crew quarters and briefing room. It's just a matter of gutting the existing map and blocking off the lower level and you have most of what's missing.
From there, you create a few new hallways, hook up a few existing rooms (engineering, holding sells, sickbay) and then build offices for Odo and Bashir, which are basically a matter of taking some stock offices from the game, gutting them, and giving them a Cardassian skin by swapping out the pillars -- which you'll be able to reuse Odo and Bashir's offices on Cardassian ship interiors.
It's about as drastic as what they did to ESD, minus Ship Requisitions, I guess. But it's not like they have to scrap DS9 and start over. They just need to flesh it out with a few new assets and object placements.
And icome to think of it, it DOES benefit Klingons if it winds up in The Foundry.
Something about the lighting or color palette in the Promenade seems wrong to me. It seems too brown. The Promenade looked a bit brighter in the shows. Other than that, add the missing rooms like Securtiy and Medical, make Quark's a part of the Promenade instance, and give us Morn!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot about the lighting! I know DS9 has a darker motif, but it is often too dark in many parts of the station. My characters lose a lot of definition and are lost in shadow.

Yeah, here are some pictures for reference, it seems I was right:
Very cool. Deep Space Nine is certainly one of the most fleshed out and 'Star Trek' feeling locations in game, but there's no reason not to continue bringing it up to snuff as it were.
This is probably the stupidest request ever, but is there some way we could get a look at the USS Rio Grande? I swear that thing was the Highlander of runabouts on DS9, and I'd kinda get a kick out of seeing it still chugging around after forty years of service, or even in a museum (Hey, something to put on Bajor once the devs get around to making it!).

Seeing as the Enterprise-D is docked at ESD, I don't see why we can't spy a prominent runabout out the windows (or on the viewscreen in ops, perhaps) which is the Rio Grande.

I have been anxiously waiting to see what they come up with for the Great Hall. Can't wait to see it.
They did some great work on ESD. I look forward to see what they have to offer Qo'nos.
I hope Deep Space Nine is on the list, especially in regards to the many great suggestions made in this thread.

No kidding!

Exactly. Why DS9 wasnt 99% accurate at game launch is baffling. And somewhat unacceptable.

Because it got "remodeled." That's what the traffic officer says, anyways.
It's pretty accurate, it just doesn't have many places that are actually open. The doors are there, the rooms are not.

I've caught my BOs doing that when I go to my bridge. "Oh TRIBBLE, the captain's back! To your places!"
That happens other places as well. It does look sloppy/silly, but I think it is a mechanic problem of the engine and not by intent.
Obviously not by intent.
...
I hope.

I'd really like our Deep Space Nine to be as accurate as that map.
