Species Extinction?

Bleh, I'm no tree hugger. I like to eat animals. I'd eat just about any of them (even dogs and cats!). However I just hate it when animals go extinct due to humans. It's just a shame. It's not the end of the world but I can't understand how some people just don't care if we kill off like everything.

I believe in human dominance over animals like anybody who's not crazy (I'm looking at you Peta people). However at the same time I don't think we should be hunting TRIBBLE to extinction.

I like whales, tortoises, monkeys and other animals enough to just not want to see them disappear so future generations could see them in something other than a history book.

P.S. And yes, I admit I care more about cool animals than boring ones. ;)

There is a world of difference between not being bothered by the fact that we killed off the dodos and not caring if we were to kill off "like" everything.
False dichotomies are not your friend.
I believe in human dominance over animals like anybody who's not crazy
There you go again with the false dichotomies.
Either you believe in human dominance over animals or you're crazy?
So, The Lakota Nation, the Kuori People, the Maori People, the Hindi, etc (and this list is quite extensive) are all crazy?
You are racist, you realise this? If you don't believe like I do you're crazy?
    Get over yourself.
I have a piece of paper certifying my sanity. I also have university level scientific education. I do not believe in human dominance over animals. I tend to think, like most people who have a fundamental understanding of ecology, that we should strive to live in harmony with our eco systems.

    Watch Primeval.
    Season 1, episode 4.

    I'm glad Dodos are dead.

For the love of Bob Saget this is English and just like with any language there's certain writing liberties that can be taken. You don't have to take everything one hundred percent literally. It's not math. Get over yourself.

I'm guessing when you read writing works you'd get confused.

I keep seeing tv spots for save the polar bears.

My response (while extremely drunk and talking to friends on Skype)
"Who the heck cares about Polar bears! It would just as soon eat me as I would light it up on sight! Let 'em die and it's one less thing I gotta worry about if I go to Alaska!"

    My response to Whale Wars:
"Know what would be funny? if an actual Navy came for these guys.... yeah..." ***

*** for the record, I like whales.

Epilogue from a show about shark attacks:
"Ooohh noooo! A potential man eater is getting garroted for soup and for cartalidge pills! My heart's breaking for you sweetheart!"

Upon seeing TV spot for saving tigers"
"Well that is a genuine shame... just wish anything at all could be done to truely stop the poaching.

On the subject of monkey and apes:
    "Aww... look. He's crying... HAHAHAHAAAA"****
    *** I HATE MONKEYS!

And Finally, reacting to TV spot about poaching ivory in Africa:
"Yeah, lets forget the millions of people trying to survive in one of the harshest climates on Earth while fighting disease and rival tribes daily. Because those Elephants and Rhinos DEFINITELY have it worse. Much worse"

We need to save the whales so Kirk doesn't have to go back in time to the 80's :D

Didn't they phase out the "Save the polar bears" message in favor of "Buy Coca Cola".

I say let nature run it's course. If an animal cannot adapt to a changing environment or predator then it deserves to die. If humans didn't hunt the whales, elephants, polar bears, flying badgerwolves, or whatever other animal is out there something else would. Humans just have the advantage of being able to use more of the body of what they kill and being able to think beyond instinct. Usually.

What humans need is something higher up the food chain then them. Like me.

It is not English you have taken liberties with, it is basic logic.
Furthermore, when you have mastery over basic grammar (something you distinctly lack), you may begin to take liberties with English. Until then, I suggest you stick to basic syntax.
I'm guessing when you read writing works you'd get confused.
No, actually, I do not. Despite having dyslexia, I find reading quite simple.

What's grammatically incorrect with my posts?

You obviously lack the proper reading comprehension skills to understand the basics of exaggeration.

Are you 100% certain that you want to entertain this argument?
You obviously lack the proper reading comprehension skills to understand the basics of exaggeration.
No. It is not exaggeration to say "I'm not crazy, I believe that mankind should be dominant over the other animals" is ethnocentric to the point of racism. It is not my lack of comprehension skills, it is your lack in communication skills.

What does your link have to do with the comment at hand?

    No.

Look at the firs time I replied to you. It has everything to do with what I talked about there. It even kind of has to do with the second quote of yours in this post too.

I hope that was all clear enough. I tried to keep it to as few works as possible to make it easy to understand.

Be careful. If you call Cu-Annan a "Grammar TRIBBLE" Cu-Annan will take it literally and think Cu-Annan is being called an actual TRIBBLE. Then Cu-Annan will compare the use of the term "Grammar TRIBBLE" to racism while creating a petition to boycott Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal for Preventing the Children of Poor People in Ireland From Being a Burden to Their Parents or Country, and for Making Them Beneficial to the Public" for what Cu-Annan views as a completely serious and not at all satirical essay.

I'm not a Grammar TRIBBLE. I just have a problem with people attempting to hide behind literary devices they clearly do not understand. I'm dyslexic so while, obviously, I would prefer sentences to be correctly structured; I do not expect the world to shape itself appropriately to my disability.

I don't make a habit of correcting people's grammar, nor do I feel that a badly formed sentence is any kind of problem. That is, of course, save when someone attempts to claim that their badly formed arguments are down to my lack of comprehension skills.

No. Your post had no resemblance in structure to Swift's article.
Swift's basic structure was satirical, yours was not.

    Two commas missing.

This sentence doesn't actually make grammatic sense.

This sentence does not make sense.
It may have been that you meant to say "For the love of Bob Saget: this is English and, just like with any language, there are certain liberties that can be taken with it" or something to that effect.
Aside from punctuation, you had basic plurality errors.

    Need I go on?

Now, let's come to the logic of your posts.
When faced with factual corrections to your position, rather than attempt to defend them logically, withdraw your corrected statements or merely concede that you were wrong: you engaged in numerous personal attacks and attempted to connect your "exaggerations" to satire.

If you are, in fact, employing the same literary technique as Swift was (as you seem to be claiming); I hope you are aware that you have stated that you are, in point of fact, in favour of mass extinction at the hands of mankind.

Asking you to correct me was a fun little test.

You're going "Grammar TRIBBLE" on me over... COMMAS! ON THE INTERNET!

Plus the second two complaints of not understanding a few sentences are your fault for not understanding them. They're perfectly understandable.

You know, using singular cases with plural nouns.
Silly little lack of agreement you had there.

No, they are not constructed correctly.
Whether or not they're understandable is irrelevant. They do not make grammatic sense.

Yeah, how we could go from "Grammar TRIBBLE" to TRIBBLE is a mystery to everyone. Also, mentioning Godwin's Law as if it means anything is both old and irrelevant in almost every matter.

    Seriously.

As long as the point gets across....does everything absolutely HAVE to be 100% correct according to some lame 10th grade english text book? No...Not really.

In the long run, obsessing about it doesn't help anything.
