Yeah. Have you noticed that some people get infracted for that and their sig gets erased by the mods and then others are allowed to keep their sigs no matter how many times you report them?

*shrugs* I played it back then and had a lot of fun. Always had a soft spot for cops vs robbers, though.
Made a "Robocop"-themed police officer, too. And a criminal with a van coloured like my favorite Chinese takeaway. [Picture]
Some people also tried a few rather loony Star Trek designs: Uhm...
Looking forward to the F2P beta in February. I didn't play it every day, but enjoyed it quite a lot every now and then. For me it was just one of those games that you start up when you're in the right mood for some quick action.
Incursion's character creator may even surpass that of Cryptic. CCP really went all-out on this one.
Secretly, though, I think this is just CCP making sure that the sci-fi game based around a popular and well-known franchise doesn't blow them out of the water.
Anyway, CCP has always been well known for the art-like content of their game, EVE Online. As a subscriber to that game, the only complaint I have is that everything is too dam* expensive. Seriously, I had to sell about 5 different ships to get the equivelent of a Teir 3 ship.
APB had awesome character creation, but it took forever to load other players so they always looked generic in social area. Despite it lacking in areas I thought APB was fun, but the technical issues made it unplayable for me. I was hoping to check it out again after a couple months when they fixed it a little, then poof. Poor thing, good news is at least Tabula Rasa isn't getting picked on as much now. I will check APB out again when it relaunches. Wish Tabula would get picked up by someone too.

How weird is that?
You mean like me?
Actually I don't have that many lines, the blue and green text are supposed to be together but it shows up with a space in between.
APB's problem, from my perspective, is that it seemed to me to be Grand Theft Auto Online. I don't really like games like that. Was a shame to waste such a nice character creator on such a game, in my opinion.
While APB has a great char creator, STOs is very good as well. STOs fits the IP well and is probably the last place the game needs improvement right now.
City of Heroes and Champions give a much better presentation of what Cryptic's character creator can do. The APB creator appears to be a little better then Champions's is, which is saying something.
EVE Online's Incursion char. Creator, while still in beta, seems to be pretty good. I myself am downloading the Singularity Test Server so I can tell you all how well it really works.
Incursion is good but we still have no idea if CCP can do a good ground game.
I'm hesitant as their space interaction is fairly dated (it's like a bad version of Homeworld - which was a great game and makes EVE just okay in comparison).

that will be cool I really would like to know if the character creator works well or not.

Hmmh, I thought it was more like Counterstrike with cars. Shooting was more important than driving - the latter was just a means to get to a target location.
Although the pursuits were pretty damn fun. I'll never forget moments such as when some crim tried to escape me with his pimped racing car. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't really a good driver for the speed his vehicle was capable of and drove straight into a shop. Just as he wanted to drive off again, my armored van rammed into his side and he blew up.
My last car was some sort of OCP SWAT pick-up with three different emergency lights scattered all over the vehicle (front, top, interior) plus huge front spoiler. Light machine ftw!

"Fits the IP"? I would say it has too much clothing customization for that, whilst lacking in parts that would really be appropriate. The latter is especially true for the KDF. The body customization is excellent, though, even if I am missing several features from STO's cousin CO. Like different facial expressions.
I think it would have been good in APB had it acctually done that. instead you got like 3 option and had to buy everything else.
Only true for cars. I really picked up a lot of additional clothes to the ~100 or so pieces you start out with. And 90% of those I got by doing missions and achievements, whilst having no problem buying the others for the money I earned in the game.

Which is what i meant. Sorry for not being clearer. I just found it had being a cop since you seemed to earn no money at all. this was in beta though.

Well, CCP's EVE online does have a lot to topple. For one, there's the new character creator.
For another thing, it's more of a hardcore game, which drives away casual gamers (not me though)
And also, they have to do GOOD ground scenes. If there's ANY ground combat at all, people will expect it to be as flawless and beautiful as their space combat, if not a bit more immersive and difficult, because you don't shoot a pod out of your fleshy corpse that contains you when you die.
Also, they should make their test server more accessable, like Tribble

That's my concern is that walking in stations will be a very pretty version of "gp here, talk x" or that any combat would feel clunky. EVE's space piloting is already pretty clunky on its own and I hope the ground portions can be more fluid.

I was one of those people who subscribed to APB the whole month it was active.
*comfort hug*

As far as I recall they do not plan on doing any kind of "ground game". The avatars are purely intended for social interaction on space stations.
