I made a new character. Went to name the ship fitting for the captain. And T.A.R.D.I.S. was considered profanity.
Does Star Trek have something against the longest running Sci-Fi show? I mean last time I checked. No one considers a blue police box as profanity.
But then TARDIS works. So it doesn't matter.
Its not profanity is The Doctor's mode of transportation in Doctor Who. The acronym stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space.
Wondering if you will put The Doctor on the profanity list next.
Comments
If you look in the Ten Forward section of the forums you'll discover a thread specifically devoted to the dear doctor, so don't worry about any of us considering TARDIS profane.
Also, you should know that using this name is against the rules. From Cryptic's Costume and Name Policy page:
"Character Name, Handle, and Fleet Names May Not: Be the registered property of any other company"
In other words, you can't use names from other properties. No Darth Whatevers, no Jedi, no Dr Who references. It's against the rules.
