We are a forum based gaming community that accommodates for all the corners of the gaming world whether its World of Warcraft, Star Trek Online or even Console based games like Mass Effect and the hotly anticipated Oblivion V: Skyrim we are there to share our knowledge with our members and that included jumping in-game to help someone out if needed...

We have boards for the major titles already in place and if its not there we'll add it in no problem

To really make you feel at home with use we are also able to provide members with there own personalized @9thlegion.com email address

We also encourage members to take part in current beta's ongoing and if not we provide 1st hand experiences and feedback (within N.D.A of course )

We are not a Fleet, Guild or Clan but members are more than welcome to start one up in our name or there own and naturally we will be happy to add sub forums for all fleet/guild/clan needs including channels on our 512 user Team Speak server already set up for all members to use, Members can create there own channels for whatever you need. for the current top MMO's as well as those coming soon..

So you're the IX Legion, Blood Angels, right? Those guys are kind of annoying. Not as bad as Space Wolves.

Silly Raven. Didn't you know that the 9th Legion fought in the Gaelic Wars under Caesar in 58BC? Sadly, the Legion vanished at around 117 AD. Luckily, they've re-emerged, and only 1,894 years later.

    Hail Caesar!

Well if you're not the IX Legion why are you claiming to be the IX Legion?

You know what, I bet you're a bunch of Chaos Cultists seeking to slander the good name of the Blood Angels.

You stand accused of high heresy and impersonating one of the God-Empress's Space Marines. So you plead innocence by ignorance, correct?

Well your proclamations of your innocence are falling upon deaf ears. Even a plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time. Guilty. Burn the heretic at the stake.

    You people are evil :P

They're referring to the tabletop game Warhammer 40k. There is a chapter of Space Marines in that game called the IX Legion.

No no no, see, this is just a big misunderstanding. They were trying to be slick and shorten their name with a 9, but it didn't quite work out. The full name is really the Nymph Legion.

... good enough for hort! :o

My I ask why there needs to be yet another gaming community amogst the countless many there already are? As a former governing memeber of a gaming community, I just don't understand why there needs to be so many. There are tons of people in-game, on XBOX Live, and so on that you could easily add to your friends list and discover if they're worth gaming with or not. The only real exception I see to this is with Gaming Angels. The site definitely could be arranged and organized better (sorry Trina) but the people there are a good group. They cover every platform and Gaming Angels is the only co-ed gaming community endorses by Microsoft. Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to hijack your thread or anything but what makes your community that much better than all of the others and why?

Good question JC. Another question would be why you needed to bump your thread and repost what has been posted...what four times now?

I am really starting to suspect you guys really are a Chaos cult.

Cultist-chan is a member of every Chaos cult. She has a symbol of every Chaos God somewhere on her filthy, greasy body.

You need to buy into the game. And that is how Cultist-chan is. To the pious she reeks of filth and decay. To the heretical she smells nicely, because the heretic's mind has been warped and perverted.

And yes, I always talk dirty with 40k. I guess you could call it a turn on?

Try the Dawn of War games and the books. Both have excellent introductions to the material and universe of the 41st Millennium.

For the books, I recommend starting with Cadian Blood. It's the story of a company of regular humans reclaiming a plague infested planet that gives a nice introduction to the setting through a main character that you can readily identify with and covers the Imperial Guard, Chaos, Space Marines, Imperial Navy, the Inquisition, the Church of the Emperor, Psykers, and the Tech Priests with is a good introduction to the Imperium of Man.

After that the Ciaphas Cain, Eisenhorn, and Tanith First and Only series are very good.

Hmmm Cadian Blood is out of print and $50, I think I'll pass on that until they make it a cheap ebook. :p

While looking it up though, I came across a book called Empress of All the Stars -- I think it's a sign!
