Personally, I dont plan on flying it either way. But alot of people have strong feelings about this, so lets make those feelings easy to see without reading dozens of pages in several threads:
Should the new Guramba ship be available in game as well as the C-store?

Not really in game but puts it in the same boat as the Gal-X.
no, no they said they will try. no guarantees yet.
And that was from the community manager too, not an actual dev, or dstahl.
Unfortunately this point is moot. As this is suppose to be the galaxy X equivalent, they've already set a standard to follow. They cant just give us this without igniting a fire storm from those who have already paid for the galaxy X. As much as it pains me to admit It. I don't think they can in good conscious at the point do this ship any other way.
Is the Galaxy-X available through in-game means other than the referral system? No?
Then SHUT UP ALREADY.
Stormshade has already stated that he's getting the Cauramba added tot he referral system, sot he two are exactly equivalent. Polls like this do nothing and make you a candidate for a Forum vacation (read the Forum Usage Guidelines above).
All ships should be obtainable in game
Maybe a special token can be earned doing a very difficult mission & stuff from the C-store payable in combination whit emblems.
Example, sell the Galaxy-X for 1000 or 2000 Emblems heck if you are not up for the grinding of emblems or want the ship quicker then buy C-store points.
Either way people subscribe for a longer time because they have to grind the points or they spend money on C-store points or more people might get the lifetime but that is also win win, direct cash and a increase in the steady player database = Everyone happy
No, polls are fine. Petitions are not allowed.
That said, a lot of these threads will probably be closed down or moved to the C-Store section under the rationale that there is a place to discuss this topic and it isn't here.
Well, Cryptic in the past had said items in the C-store you could get in game just difficult. Of course so far this hasn't been the case. They can always change their minds, see Federation cloaks. So come on Fed carriers!!!
Costumes and any visual stuff to make your ship LOOK like (as opposed to getting extra BO slots on it etc), a different ship is just fluff and should be made available through the C-Store. There are enough fans who would like to fly a particular ship and would buy it but it should not offer any bonuses. These should be just skins for visual use ONLY. The same goes for uniform and off duty wear. Personally, I'd like to see jeans and T Shirt included in the off duty wear instead of a uniform variant.
ALL actual ships should be available through the game, (that doesn't mean referral programs etc either), Even at an EC cost and even only to VA or other specific rank and above, it should be possible for any player to own it without forking out additional RL cash.
Ther are enough fans who would pay for the fluff to provide funding for the service. However, keep actual gameplay items out of the C-Store.
Many have said WOW, EQ and Eve et al sell stuff through the online store but notice that nothing in their stores can be used in the game to give a bonus. Eve Time cards can be sold in game for Isk but it is still essentially a 60 days time card that someone has paid for and given to you in exchange for you farming ISK for them, players could do exactly the same in this game as an out-of-game exchange, I'll pay your months sub if you can give me x million EC. Nothing that either affects gameplay nor gives a bonus in game is sold via the store in those games. If you want a T Shirt, a coffee mug or a model, the C-store is where to get that sort of thing along with items to make your crew/ship etc LOOK cool.
Had it been intended/announced prior to release, I probably would have been as well since it gives the Klingons some reward for recruiting 5 friends. As it is it seems like so much butt covering to appease the ire of a portion of the community so, no.
