This is a simple request. The contest site gallary gives us the ability to rate with 1 to 5 starts. If we don't like a design we can give it 1 star. My problem with this is we are still placing value on something we don't like. Please give us the ability to check a box or something that indicates a negative rating. I want the ability to say that I don't like a ship in the face of people liking a ship without adding value via a single star.
Indeed. The competition website was a complete disaster. It ruined the competition, from my point of view.
I honestly and truly think they don't care.
The fact that they're not pimping the heck out of a contest that lets you design the freakin' Enterprise is very telling. Heck, there's not even a link to it anywhere on the front page that I've ever seen.
One thing that bothers me is the design contest does not allow you to truly spec out a ship. A design implies more than a drawing.
Design Entry for the "Enterprise F" Submission # 805 This ship is the latest in design for a new class called Ironsides. It has unique battle features and a retro design that mimics battleships from their aquatic period on Earth. This unique design has Port and Starboard weapon slots rather than the traditional forward and aft slots seen in current ship design. This ship was designed to give combat support to Fleet Battles. This Tactical Heavy Cruiser Class vessel is unique because of her dual targeting systems that work indepenndently of each other. Each side of this ship can target the closest enemy within weapons range. This ship has a unique ability to launch multiple weapons at one time.
Examples:
A ship armed with 8 torpedo weapons could [ with the right skills and buffs ] conceivably fire up to 32 torpedoes at one time using the skill Torpedo Spread III. This devastating attack could be used to affect several targets within a 10 meter range.
A ship armed with 8 mine weapons could conceivably fire up to 128 smaller mines at one time using the skill Dispersal Pattern Omega III. This devastating attack could be used to affect several targets within a 10 meter range.
However, this Heavy Assault Cruiser is designed for the new Mk XII Very Rare Dual Heavy Quad Cannons [Acc] x 4 [Dmg] x2 [CrtH]. While they only have a range of 5 meters they do a devastating 750 DPS with a 50% Accuracy and a 50% chance of doing a critical strike. This weapon makes the Tactical Captain a force to be reckoned with.
On the other hand the weapon slots may be loaded with Shield Drones or with Weapon Platforms [such as turrets]. This makes the ship very versatile.
The Ironside Class is the first Tier 6 ship and should be treated as a Capitol Ship.
The Ironside Class is a Vulcan design using Starfleet Technology to maximize the weapon power of the Tactical Escort on the Chassis of an Assault Cruiser. The results are a perfect match in close quarter combat and Fleet support.
So when you think about it a design drawing is woefully insufficient in describing capabilities and the functionality of the new Tier 6 Enterprise F.
Please give careful consideration to Submission # 805Your votes are greatly appreciated but there needs to be substance to the style of the ship chosen to be the next Enterprise. It needs something more than just being based off of an artists rendering.

"A virtual masterpiece in versalitliy and functionality with decidedly unique capabilities a very logical design"

Dude, you've posted this exact same thing in half a dozen threads now. I'd be inclined to down vote your ship just because I find it annoying....if it actually let me vote.
