Mr Stahl - I know you are working on this and I am probably yet another impatient hard core Trek geek fan.
But please - more exploration and diplomatic missions that involve real diplomacy - i.e. researching ppls' needs, mediation, puzzles (like in previous trek games).
First Contact mission with a species that needs resources (mining etc), food (agricultural equipment from starbase to colony etc).
---People need agricultural equipment set up in a an area where a storm is headed and shield generators need to be installed. "Race against time" type of mission.
Another type of mission could be a diplomatic mediation type mission where one party may have an ulterior motive .
---EG - the first season episode in TNG involving the Anticans and the Selay. One of the diplomatic attaches could be a rogue agent and through multiple clues and a little bit of reading you have to decode what is going to happen to prevent an assassination attempt.
Also, a species that is interested in becoming a member of the Federation but is an aggressive species that needs to see Federation Altruism in action.
----Assist the inhabitants of a nearby system with natural disaster.
Scientific
---Take your team to a Federation outpost where representatives of an aggressive / enemy species need Federation assistance - but you have to work through the cultural issues as well as work together towards a cure for an epidemic.
There are so many options INCLUDING combat and war - remembering that THIS GAME IS SET IN WAR - that also occur. The principle mission of the Federation and Starfleet still continued even during war.
I ***DO*** like the game. Please help me LOVE it.
Thanks so much

PS good job on constructive criticism. some people dont know what that means =p
i mean its just dialogue box pop ups. If you could actually alter the state of the universe or something based on your actions, like befriend a new race or something etc etc... a new race/sector where starfleet cant go because tey are neutral and your diplomatic players have to work on making them friendly etc, stuff like that woul dmake a difference.
but i guarantee you with the current options available for making a 'story' mission, you will get most players who play it saying its boring and dumb needs more shooting.
and therefore the minority are really interested in doing missions like that.
I do agree making it on the mission maker would be a good step, however its new and most people dont know how to really use it yet, but it is a good idea if you have some time to dabble in it.
