First of all, I'm very aware that many months ago, there were some pretty severe requests for major additions to lifer perks. That said, the price of the game has dropped drastically. With stacking gametime, the price of playing has dropped drastically.
Given the price of a lifetime sub, it may be smart to add a perk both as a nod to the changing costs of playing and drive up a few lifetime sales.
There have been improvements in tech to allow species-specific costumes.
What I would like is if Lifer Liberated Borg (both Fed and KDF) got access to the Borg outfit used by the Amazon Borg Bridge Officer. It appears to play well with both Fed and KDF uniform options. It has a nice Borg look to it. There is a slightly adjusted male version seen on NPCs.
I think it would be nice just to have the option to make our Liberated Borg look a bit more... Borg-like.
(I'd also love it if we could use these outfits, infected skin, and head attachments on our BOs.)
how is this more then a meme and going to help the game survive the next year? this game has alot of needs...and i see alot of wants from the community.
As well you gave over your money because you were looking for a payoff.....at some point you were convinced the 300 dollars upfront would payoff when your time in game equated to 300 dollars....so why are you even asking for "perks"..you didnt give up three hundred dollars to a video game company because you believed in the cause. you did it for what you thought would pay off for you in the end.
As I have said in the past, I am very happy with my LTS, and while I will gladly accept any premiums or freebies that Cryptic may offer, I feel it is unnecessary and requesting such perks seems more than just a little uncouth.
I can see Allegiance86's point, as well as Pikoy's, however, I am in agreement with the OP.
When I bought my Lifetime pre-order, I thought I'd be running around looking like One from the Voyager episode "Drone".
Ok, so I knew we wouldn't get to look exactly like One, because we're not 29th century Liberated Borg, but the same idea, an individual Borg, free of the Collective, still fully assimilated (if we so wished). When the game debuted, and I figured out that all I got for Lifetime was some traits and some interesting facial implants.. Well, I was disappointed, to say the least. Personally, i think we should also get to choose which "era" of Borg we can look like, wither the Voyager Borg, like the liberated Borg Engineering Officer from Amazon, the TNG Borg like we saw on Vega Colony, or the "modern" Borg, like the Science Officer from the Khitomer Accord Accolade.
The tech is there, the desire is there, make it so.

I too am very happy with my LTS. However, there is nothing uncouth about making a request. The op made his request and gave his reasons. In fact this seems a polite way to go about it as apposed to demanding or complaining like an infant. I don't feel this happened here.
I am also a supporter of giving veterans the liberated Borg once they reach the appropriate time frame.
Liberated borg means you got your humanity back, you aren't borg borg, if you were borg borg, someone would have shot you in the head, not put you in charge of a Federation/Klingon starship. 8')

If he had requested it as a veteran's award it would be okay. Requesting Lifer Perks only serves to divide the community.
I agree with an earlier post that this would work fine as a veteran reward. Perks are things that the devs aren't required to give, they didn't have to make the captain's table, they chose to. It seems to me that people asking for more perks is more likely to make the devs not make them at all.
Consider this, I give you a cookie....you thank me for the cookie.....I decide to give you icing for the cookie, just so it'll be a little better.........you thank me for the icing.......and then you say to me.........oooh GIVE ME sprinkles.........suddenly I regret giving you the cookie in the first place.

Do you or anyone here know if there has ever been a dev post about vets getting the liberated Borg? I know a fair ammount of lifers have expressed thier support in this. Not sure whether or not a dev has ever commented on it.
Anyway, unless vets also get a liberated Borg then any requests pertaining to more liberated borg customization would be a lifer only thing anyway. I do hope that
Changes. We got the Borg as a perk for our investment. So should vets. In fact one could argue they deserve it even more for sticking through the game for so long.
Anyway I hope this thread doesn't disintegrate into a lifer/non lifer thing.

Just b/c I'm liberated doesn't mean I don't wanna loose all the cool tech they stuck into my frame. And just because the producers of ST:Voy wanted their borg to be a nubile young lady doesn't mean my dream of remaining looking like a mixture of zombie and motorway accident is any less a valid interpretation.
In my opinion, staying borgified while embracing your humanity is the tougher, more rewarding road. Did the crew of Voyager accept Seven of Nine as human, b/c she had embraced her humanity? Because she had changed? Or did they accept b/c the Doctor made her look as human as possible?

considering the fact that humans in the 24th century were getting it on with aliens like klingons.... i can be sure eventually they would of accepted her.
Considering the borg BOs are only female. I'm willing to bet the have nothing at all for male. And if they have to take time to create a suit for males...it kinda undermines the argument of them doing it cause they already have the assets for it.
how is this more then a meme and going to help the game survive the next year? this game has alot of needs...and i see alot of wants from the community.
Really, what's the point in even saying this? Cryptic's going to prioritize things themselves, and they have different teams anyway. The only problem with a request like this...is where it's posted. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with making a polite and well-thought out request, which this definitely qualifies as.

You forget that the Borg e fight in the tutorial and a small handfull of missions that take you back in time, are old-school Borg. The resources exist to depict a male Borg BO.
Though honestly, I'm gonna go with the handfull of other posters here and say that the Liberated Borg character is supposed to be a character that has, for the most part, done away with a majority of it's transplants and cybernetics; I'd rather not see the full Borg "uniform" made available to players. I'd would, however, like to see more customization options for the Unique Borg BO. Maybe some arm pods and whatnot.
I wouldn't be against cybernetic-laced hands, a la Seven of Nine, though.

cryptic is going to prioritze what lines their pockets faster.

NPCs and players work much differently. That is the very reason why there are some NPCs that we cant have as BO's They just haven't got the tech right to fit them all universally.
Getting a clothing asset to fit on an NPC that spawns from very limited templates that the developers have full control over is hardly the same thing as getting that same asset to fit on players and their near endless shapes and diversity.

Perhaps eventually, if the release the liberated Borg as either a CStore item or as a veteran reward, they will add more options to it. I tend to support the latter rather than the former, 500 or 600 day vet reward would be appropriate since we are coming up on 400 days now and those rewards are already announced.
I see no reason why we should have any more perks than we already have and though you asked fairly politely instead of the usual demand I cannot support the request.
Maybe this will be possible to get in a different way.
Once they implement the ability to promote one of your officers to captain of their own ship....just select your amazon pre-order (or c-store bought) borg bo.

that might give you the outfit you want.
Yeah, if all you want is a Female Borg Engineer or a Male Borg Scientist.

Wait, I'm confused now.
there is a way to get a male borg bo scientist?
I have a female engineer borg bo from my amazon pre-order. I figured that the c-store purchase was the same thing, since the picture looks identical. are you saying that the c-store borg can be a male borg bo?
*EDIT
Ahhh, just found out about the KA borg bo reward. That's what I get for playing the game solo and never doing raids.

Borg alien. Give two base stats that are Borg. Chose the other two.

they say alot of things.
Awhile back they did add a few options as far as head and eye attachments with lasers and stuff. That has already been added.
this is from the 15th november engineering report.
'More Borg parts for AlienGen'
that was after the eye laser update.
edit - obviously that is quite vague but it seems they are doing something more than we have now.

Something ive been wanting for sometime. I mean the lib borg has the outfit why dosnt my lib cpt???

Yes, There's an accolade in Khitomer Accord that will give you a Male Borg Science Boff at the end of the mission.
You have to go into an assimilation chamber and die to get it though
Don't feel bad, I played solo for a long time, and I still have yet to earn it.
