Too many ranks is hurting pvp

Please consider getting rid of the admiral level ranks. It is very hard to get pvp combat to start. A lot of the timers are at 20 minutes between combat starts and that is absolutely horrible! At most there should only be a couple minutes wait between combats.

This is Star Trek. People want to be captains and not admirals anyway. Just remember the lesson Captain Kirk had to learn regarding this!

Please get rid of the admiral ranks and make them captains. Or find a way to combine ranks for pvp which may be a better solution. Combine LT ranks, commander ranks and captain+admiral ranks into three levels of pvp. Give each access to the higher level ranks items and just make them more expensive.

PVP is just on life support right now as we are all just too spread out.

    another item solution to this plan:

    Make it where we have to get the lower level item before getting the higher rank item

    Ex: LT Comm and Commander combined ranks for pvp

    - have to buy the lvl IV item before getting VI at the same prices they are now. Crafting would work the same.

    well the problem with to many ranks for pvp has been solved.
    The challenge matches can have any rank. I did a massive one with 19 other ships and it was mixed ranks. it was awesome.

    Also since there is no scaling for those ranks the higher ranks healers had to protect them from the top level ships. If the scaling system worked in the pvp match then all ranks could be in a regular pvp.

    If the level difference is too big, then you will notice a time where you are the sitting duck. There is not much PvP on the lower level fed side because of the game content. When you rank to VA, there is always people in game waiting to play. Last FvF i was in had 30 people ready to play.

    Also, I would not want to be required to buy a certain part at a lower level to get it at the next level. Prime Example, Tetryon weapons are Tier 4 skills. If I decided to switch from phasers to tetryon, you want me to buy every array up to the current MK level I can use?
