not sure i agree with that. there has been a fair number of posts recently in the dev tracker but it is Christmas, so im sure some of them are on holiday and i think dstahl has the tarellian plague so hes probably in bed and not on one of his posting sprees.

Yes, but they're human too; it's the week prior to Christmas; so I expect a lot of the Cryptic offices are light on staff; and DStahl's been home sick and on meds after seeing a doctor. He was supposed to be back this last Monday, but it may be he was still under the weather.

Still, while we haven't had a lot of posts, we have seen a lot of patching (and some good stuff in these patches); so even if they aren't posting much, it does seem some are still working hard over this holiday season.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dev posting remain light until after the first week in january 2011. But, we'll see.

I thought somebody zapped him with a Medical Phaser the other day...

He should be fine by now. :p

Capnlogan and some other devs have pretty much disappeared. I miss those ship updates and stuff and WIP screen we used to get...I dont know what they have been working on...obviously not ship polish cause we would have seen alot more with season 3...all we got were decals on some ships. Ships like the Intrepid..and even the Galaxy still need work.

    Well, a few things...

    1) As mentioned, it is that holly jolly time of year where everyone starts taking days off.

    2) I have yet decided to start my volley of posts for the day.

    3) We still exist, and we still love you guys.

On a totally different note, I should warn you all that our Annual Winter Break is coming up. We'll still have mods covering the forums and doling out infractions when needed, and I and the rest of the team will probably be dropping in from time to time. However, for the most part, you won't see us around much after Christmas Eve, until January 3rd.

CS, NetOps, our awesome moderators, and most support staff will still be about, so we'll be keeping an eye on things. However, you won't see many Dev Posts during that week while we spend some much needed time with our families.

    Thanks,

    Stormshade

Stahl already posted most of the engineering report for this month. While we know he didn't get to all of it, and this is a very important thing to you all, I also think it's important to remember he's feeling way under the weather right now. There's also no one else on the team who really can do the report in his stead.

We may just have to wait until next month for a full scale engineering report. I hope you guys will understand, and we all appreciate your patience.

    Thanks,

    Stormshade

Those of us here in the office (like the Salami) are also working Very Hard Right Now. I can spare a minute to post this because one of our utilities is in the middle of an update.

Well, I know the Cryptic staff was pretty damn busy last Christmas trying to get this game live. So, I suppose a little slacking is warranted this Christmas. Especially considering how far we've come from there to here.

    The holly jolly season.......

You ever trip and fall into a Holly bush? Let me tell you.. it is NOT Jolly! In fact, it is VERY painful. Not to mention those bright red berries stain your clothes (although when they are over ripe they get the birds drunk).

*edit* BTW Theta.. I personally do not celebrate ANY holidays. And I go WAY out of my way to avoid my family at all times of the year. Not EVERYBODY on this planet falls for the 'seasonal' emptying of the wallet... with one 'holiday' or another nearly every month or segment thereof.

Some of us see it for what it is. Hogwash designed to separate YOU from your money and make the fat cats wallets even fatter.
