This has been discussed before, but I think it is very important and deserves another look. Can Cryptic allow for used ship parts to be sold, and do away with the current binding system in place now? The exchange wouldn't even have to be nerfed, just simply be allowed to let a completely free market take its course. Very rare item prices would still be unlikely to change, but these price controls on common to some blue items the farmers use to manipulate the market would no longer exist, as they would have to lower prices to compete with the same items saturating the exchange. If everybody sets items at what the market will bear for that particular commodity, eventually some would offer it at a more competetive price to get their money, and the sellers gouging everybody would need to follow suit in order to remain in business. After some time, price wars would follow and the true value of the items would come to light. On the same note, a Captain upgrading to Admiral level items should have the option to donate his wares to the good of his fleet for somebody else who may want to use some of them, instead of having to vaporize them for scrap value.
