Greetings People of the community! Me and my allies have found a game Called Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator. It was made by one guy, and it is a bout two months old, and all ready he was upgraded it a lot from it's release date, and is constantly adding more.

The premise is this, get 3-6 people together, hook up that many computers together in the the same room, and each computer acts as a console that controls a different system of the star ship. One screen is the "Main Screen" and one person does not get a console, they are the Captain, and they tell the others what to do.

There is
Main Screen
Helm
Weapons
Emgineering
Science
and Comms

You fight bad guys, search for anomalies, defend bases, it is a LOT of fun. It is 40 bucks, or free if you upload a vid of your crew playing the demo.

Here is a Link to the guys main Site. http://artemis.eochu.coml

Also, Me and Vorus Kehmara, Aka The_rouge_Vulcan Aka The_house_of_Dorak, or whatever he is going by on these forums, are creating a Star Trek Mod for this game! :D If you wish you can track our progress here, on our forums.

Yeah, I heard of this, looks cool. I could see my old D&D group doing this sometime back in the day...
    -gets nostalgic-

You should really see if you can't get some friends and some comps and try it out. It is LOADS of fun.

I sometimes put my bunny on my chair and tell him to raise shields. Does that count as a bridge simulator?

    . . . not really..... :P

unless the bunny actually then raises the shields... in which case that is slighlty terrifying, but it may then count as a simulator...

A friend from another forum (he plays STO as well) mentioned the Artemis site. I have not downloaded the Demo at this time, but from the Artemis forums it appears to be actively developing nicely. I can forsee a huge potential for group-gaming at cons, feasts, and other gatherings using the Artemis template--particularly if a reasonable set of Klin-like mods can be made.

For myself, I am not a particularly computer-savy fellow but look forward to seeing what those who are, manage to come up with.

    maj!

Me and Vorus have decided to make THREE mods... We will have a Fed Version, a Rom Version, and OH YES! A Klingon one.... Not sure how much UI we can change yet, but at the very least we you get to fly a D7! :D

So you are making leather from starships? How...ingeniously barbaric of you.

We got a few more ships finished. We are pretty much exclusively using old FASA designs. Like the Nelson and the Larson, and of course... The One Wing...

We have a lot of the sounds ready, changing around some UI, I'd say we should be done in a couple weeks! :D

I have finished the Model for the Constitution Class! That means the Fed version is almost complete! I would have gotten more detailed, but Artemis can't handle a high polygon count, and it's not skinned, but here it is!
