I realize that I may be a special case (with my Color Guide and all) but I think that it would be very convenient if we could name our Saved costumes what we want to name them, instead of having them named with an arbitrary account-character-date combination.
I have so many saved costumes for my characters now that I end up having to Load costumes several times before I find the one I am looking for. This could be made a lot more user friendly by simply adding an interface that allows us to choose the name. I know it's not a priority or anything but I think this could really use some looking into.
Good news, you can! Not through the game, but through my site. Here is a direct link to my Costume Renamer. Just choose a name, upload your file, then download the new file. When you load it in game it'll have the name you gave it. Before and after pic is at the bottom of that page.

Oh, I'm definitely going to use that.
But I 100% agree, we should have the option in game.
Dont forget letting us delete saves in costume slots. Also allow us the option of saving the costume ONLY and be able to apply it to all toons regardess of race.
For Cryptic's claim to fame being extreme customization, the current system we have in STO is asthonising underwhelming and sererely limited in scope and focus. Most days, I cant help but wonder WTF was Z thinking....

/signed. Please allow us to name the save files for a sane future retrieval.
