On the next update, could Ferenghinar be added to the list of systems we can visit, and it be designated as an area for spammers, complete with an auction house, and an area for peddlers to trade items? The gold farmers get to market their goods, Grand Nagus gets rich, and ESD chat isn't flooded, everyone is happy.

No one would use it. ESD would still get spammed because it's where all new players inevitably end up.

    Ya..... no

People try to sell where the most people are. So by definition, they do it at ESD. No matter whether you assign some place for it or not.

It's not about selling, it's about roleplay selling. I don't want cryptic to create ferenginar just so people can charge ridiculous prices for gear and rip off starting players, I want it to be fun. There are numerous items that can be created for selling and for fun. You just buy them with latinum. I also talk about NPC selling and getting higher up as a business man. Getting missions to close deals etc.

I agree with the fun part. I collect all the different alcoholic beverages in the game; it is something I enjoy doing and anything that increases immersion and the fun factor is a plus in my book.

Areas with the highest foot traffic are the ones that get spammed.

ESD gets spammed until Ferenginnar is used more by missions.

I really don't think thats going to be a problem.

If cryptic goes with a traditional Ferengi society then I believe that the females aren't supposed to leave the house. They being naked wouldn't be a problem.

If they go with a new Ferengi society that is encouraged by the end of DS9 then Ferenginar would have mixed sexes all conducting business. The naked thing really isant an issue here.

Regardless im happy, i really don't want to see naked ferengi females again. Quarks mother and well...quark was more then enough for a lifetime. :p

Rom passed legislation after ascending to the position Grand Nagus. This legislation was decidedly pro-union, pro-equality, etc. - probably due in some part to Leeta's influence over him. Women wear clothes now.:):)

Lucky for our eyes, Ferengi joined starfleet, and the charter prohibits exploitative practices for all memeber species. The females are now clothed and can conduct commerce on an equal level.

On Ferenghinar, in addition to the auction house, there should be a flea market area. Humaaan tourists can rent a small stand for an x amount of time, after visiting the grand nagus at the spire of commerce. By paying Nagus a "reasonable one time fee", sellers can place their wares into market for trade or sale, and have their own little shop for a set amount of time every 24 hours, that way other sellers get their turn. Sellers can opt to be paid by trade, latinum, credits, or any of the above. This would make the selling and buying system in STO more interactive, and open the door for haggling and negotiations.

For the spammers, if they are flooding the ESD zone or any other area besides Ferenghinar, there should be a report user option players can select, and then after determining abuse, admin can disable their zone chat for x amount of time, but they can still PM or do fleet/team chat.

Hopefully Betazed is still very traditional, though, if and once they allow access to it :D Just so long as Counselor Troi's mother is not attending the grand opening.

Betazoids wear clothes normally. It's only during weddings that things get... a bit breezy.

Captain, I think it not appropriate for a starfleet officer to appear...naked..
