Game play and other things that could change.

I have played months ago and havnet been on for some time been busy. After the last up date on Season three. I still notice things havent all changed in game play.

Things I would like to see different:
1. Bridge I stll see when goint to bridge you still beam to your bridge and beam out, why? You should beam to your bridge at all
Instead why not have the button say Bridge and when clicking on it, after loading up, you're guy should be sitting in the captains chair instead of beaming in. Then when going to Tactical just have the button say Tactitcal. then it loads to the outside of ship. much more realistic don't yea think.

2.Beaming: I notice when beaming from your ship and going to the planet or base or where ever. why not go throught the proccess of going from your bridge take turbo lift down to Transporter deck and get on transporter, chose your away team then transport. The hold part of being in a Star Trek fanticy game is to feel as if your there doing the stuff That th franchise had done in there shows. True star trek Fans like that.
I would.

3. Medical; Why would you have to go all the way back to sol base earth, to get treatment from the doctor. Your already have a Sic bay on your ship you should have a doctor there on board to treat you why not have that instead of going all the way to Earht base. that would be nice.

4. Fighting sequence; I notice that when your fighting on ground with your crew our teammates, the Fasers or rifles they shoot or you shoot back at them they seem to go through walls, If you shoot and then doge it it should come up as a miss, but alot of the time it doesn't.

5. Random happenings: It would be nice to have things happen while flying to your mission, have things happen on your ship mabye. In The Tv seriese, lot of the time things happen while on ship. Annomaly's and some alien happens to stow away or or Other aliens board your ship to take it over and you have to fight them off. Just something like this that make Star Trek the real feeling your playing like you seen on Tv.

Many other things I mention in the past but yet haven't change still the same rutine going out explore fight in space or on ground that I know can't change much but you can change the way it's doen.
Well that's all thnx.

A star Trek Fan.

    1) I don't mind it.

    2) It would seem annoying having to go from the outside to inside view to pick crew and then beam down, unless there was an autopilot feature where players can be inside and the ship travels to the destination.

    3) I agree that it would be better if players got treated on their own ship than having to head back to Sol or DS9 for treatment. Your ship has a CMO and a sickbay that rivals the best hospitals. This would help give interiors some additional importance.

So instead of instant (and miraculous) treatment, I could see on the crew page a countdown for the crew members "being able to return to duty".

    4) That's you experiencing lag delay, where it appears they do that, but they don't.

    5) Yes, would be nice. That's somewhat occuring now in game, but it's scripted than being truly random.

    1. i agree

    2. i think there should be an option:
-site to site transport; very basic, representing departure in an as-is state

-upon reaching the transporter room, you are given an option of some kind of benefit; maybe 1 extra ability/item to transport along (representing the ability to select small equipment from gear lockers in the transport room [or representing the size of item that can fit in the transporter pad]).
if you dont want anything, skip the locker inventory and go directly to the transport pad.

-going to the shuttle bay to fly in the shuttle allows you 2 extra abilities/items (representing an increase in supplies you can bring with you on your mission- shuttle space). if you dont want anything, then skip shuttlebay mission equipment bays and board the shuttle directly.

perhaps flying the shuttle through atmosphere/ asteroids, traffic, etc. provides small craft piloting experience, with bonuses.

these are just examples. the point is, that each choice provides a level of convenience which compensates/trades for the efforts put in to achieve it for each mission.

so site to side is easy to do, therefore you go as is
transporter room is a few rooms away, but the small time spent to get there provides a medium bonus of some kind
going to the shuttle is a few decks away, but provides you with a high benefit of some kind

    3. I agree that there should be a ships doctor and medical bay. i also believe that ship doctors should have their own expert areas. so when taken on an away team, they can perform certain medical functions;
-Dermal: treats anything affecting the skin or outer body
-Orthopedic: treats anything relating to bones
-Surgeon: treats anything realating to internal
-Infection Specialist: treats anything relating to illness
-Neurologist: treats anything affecting the mind, brain, nerves
Perhaps each skill can also provide defense and/or combat bonuses relating to their field.

i think things like med kits and hyposprays, also equipment and scanned anomalies relating to biology and medical could be taken to the sickbay inventory. each doctor can use these items to treat crew and away teams on the fly.

so, you get 4 hyposprays, 3 dermal regenerators, 6 DNA sequences in your inventory. you then go to your sickbay and transfer them out of your normal inventory and into your sickbay inventory. this allows your chief medical officer access to this equipment. Now when your CMO has a dermal specialist and orthopedic skill, they can use the items out of their inventory relating to those specialties. so, when picked on your away team, and you or your officers become injured, they can use that material to instantly heal those injuries. any injuries that are not trained to their skill list yet will require a trip to a starbase.

if they are not picked on the away team, you have to beam back to the ship and go to sickbay for treatment.

now, some bonus down the line could allow you to transport a medical team (with varying skills) down temporarily, when not in combat. once treated, they leave. Note: the inventory items are used by this team as well.

these systems could be used in other ship locations too, such as engineering.

    - these officers can not only treat your character and away team, but also npcs. they can even provide combat or defensive bonuses relating to their field. that way, if you are on normal mode there are still benefits to picking the CMO on away teams.

a space station Doctor can heal all afflictions at once (or multiple, but not all) for simple engergy credit "cost"
perhaps they can also provide materials for your sickbay inventory, in case you run out. again, using energy credits.

Whew, that was a long one... moving on...

    4. this area does need improved... i agree

    5. I agree here too. this could be implemented somehow, perhaps as an extension of the exploration revamp.

    Thnx for the Fed-back.

I came up with some more ideas in a different approach let me know what you think; If they decided on make Startrek a lillte diffrent for next year Here it goes:

1a. Ok when chosing your race/speices FedofPlanets which maybey up to 60 different spieces; Klingon
Romulan, and ect. Once chosen then depending what faction your in Your given the of duty cloths to chose from and could mean the differnce of what species you chose. So basicly they start out in there undies lol.
Think of Sim on That account. Then you chose how your going to look in retro-spec of the species you chose don't want to over do it that is. After then choose what Job you want, Engineering, Science, or Tactical.

If You chose Fed of Plants then you are given The traditional Academy Uniform Red and white, blcak shoes.
If chose another Faction then it will be what that Faction is.

1b. having you start from the begining with a tatorial to understand the basics and fundamentals of the game; for intsance. Knowing what some of the jobs like Engineering, Science, and Tactical does.

    2. Having to start out in the Academy but towrd the mabey the middle of your training. For beta testing this would work great cause once your in a ship and all those didnt go through and go and by the game when it comes out will start out as a Cadet (not sure of spelling srry) and work their way up. Those who went through the Beta testing will be Commanders or Captains by then or even Admirals. deppending how progress the game has played.

You still Start out in the Academy first and work your way up in rank till you reach ten but There can be a random pic of 5 people from each Job ( Eng, Sci, Tac.) Say for example 2 From Eng, 1 From Sci, and 2 From Tac. they are pullled out of the room to to the Head office who is in charge of the academy he tells you that you will be going to your ship to work on. Those who were chosen, cause of random pics from them finishing early in there training. ( There is more to this then what I'm explaining so far so don't get to lost here).

So now they go to there ship you either take the Transport or take a shuttle once over you are wlaking inside the ship and officer greets you and tells you where you nee to go by what job you picked, Say for Example Engineering. You and if you have a buddy with you you go to the Engine room and meet with the Chief he shows you around and what not. Then tells you to go to the Crew quarter ( Crew deck) and Change your close from your Academy unifor to your job fit Uniform; Gold color, For Engineering.

So basicly you are going to be walking about the ship there. You wont be able to go to the Bridge unless they call to fix or posibly fly the ship. Now to rank up it will take some time but to go on away missions there can be a random or Rank statuss that will either pic you or not. By the way once you have been shose to go on board ship either by random or after finishing the academy. You are no longer a Cadet you are now an Ensign. I can explain more but to long.

For grahpic wise I notice the This Star Trek the hals on the ship or rooms are way to big they need to down sise it make it look real not so fake and I wouldn't mine Real First person shooter look to it make you feel as if you are there, Anyway Thats all there is more but to much to type so I hope they get the Idea of what I'm Tlaking about.
