Hey there! I am really enjoying Season 3, but one of the nicer features of sector space travel is almost impossible to notice. I'm reffering to the warp speed starslide (when the stars elongate and "slide" by your ship), with the lighting in sector space so dim you can't really see it

. I thought I'd post here in hopes of either making sector space, or the stars that slide by a lil brighter. It is a really great touch, and I hope one that is "fixed" soon!

space is really dark
And its particles bouncing off your deflector. Not stars.
this and I love the new sector space, now remove the stupid instances and I be totally happy.
Is this real or bull@$%& if real where is it at? I know that space is dark but in the shows you can see the ships just fine mine is dark nothing to see but the tail lights i dont like it i like to look at the other ships as travel but they took that away now
Think the self illuminating hulls is fandom. I did find a decent enough link. Just scroll down a tiny bit.
People needed an explanation for the overly bright ships in the series.
As for the star streaks.
I dare ye to go near the sol system at warp. Get real close to it. And then try to explain the star streaks.
But seriously... They are particles bouncing off the deflector field. Or warp field. Pick your poison.
You really don't find fortyelevens stars in a nice tubular pattern when going from point a to b that is only 1 light year long.
But alas... Space is meant to be dark.
Heck even the photos we get from NASA these days are lies. Only way space is overly colorful is if you use various filters.
