...or is no one taking the design the next enterprise contest seriously! I mean, Most of the pictures uploaded are a f****ng joke. I will admit, there are a few good designs on there that I have voted for, but most are just complete TRIBBLE! most of the pictures I look at and think "What were you smoking (and where can I get some)." I'm seriously starting to think that when I upload my design, I will have very little competition, cause it seems very few (if any) are taking this contest seriously! Where are the serious people who take the time to design a very unique and good looking flagship! where you at, I cant find ye?

Not everyone is an artist. Most people do the best they can with the knowledge and tools they have available. why don't you post your submission's link so that we can see how perfect and geektacular you are?
My Dad told me once that your best is always good enough. those who will ridicule and beliitle your best , are normally those who can do no better ,and are in a position not to have to prove otherwise.
To be fair I think the one I saw that was Picard's head with warp engines on it does kind of show people are not taking it seriously.
There were a few others that were obviously a joke.
Doesn't help that a great many of those entries are straight out rip offs from player made mods for BC, Armada, Starfleet Command, etc.
I recognize several of them.
Armada is the only one of those games I have played, never got into starfleet commmand and BC just never bought (but wanted too) but I am not really into Mods so I didnt recognize em, but I'll take your word for it lol.

Yeah i've seen plenty of that too, the sad thing is if any of the actual modders want their ship in and some fan of the design has enthusiastically put it in already both entries will likely get disqualified outright. I doubt Cryptic/Intel is going to spend the time to get into contact with each of them to find out who the actual designer is.
My favorite part is that I can't find a link to it on the front-page.
I mean, I know where to find it by logging into my email and clicking the link but not linking to it on the Front Page seems like a bit of an oversight.

If this is the highest rated, then i am not surprised no one takes this "competition" seriously.
Yes this thread is going to be closed very soon.

Yep, that is annoying. However, just try to remember "/enterprise". Because the address is simply: www.startrekonline.com/enterprise.

probably still working on their designs.
I know this thread is going to get locked, but that was really funny

I mean with that site it is rather hard not to laugh.

<a href="http://www.startrekonline.com/enterprise/" title="Sponsored by Intel and CBS">Design the Enterprise Contest</a>
I dare the web team to throw that up on the startrekonline homepage.
Also, this is currently the highest rated:

Let's vote people.
I noticed that.
I put the HTML code in the post above yours just to spur the web team into action. :P
I'm so confused.
It's make a neat Trek bottle opener!
I was expecting it to change today. It seems like a pretty big oversight. I should probably get to sleep, or I'll bever wake up for work.
They sell those at the star trek store. They might be cheaper on ebay tho. My wife threatened to buy me one for christmas.
I've seen that! Hilarious.

Thank you for reading.

and yet you still commented...
I would guess that most of those people are up here in Canada, or over in Europe, and thus can't enter the contest...
