oh well...i have to say....really great work cryptic. Looks really fantastic. Travel through sector space it feeling really like space now with astrometrics turned off. I sure won't turn it on again :D

Still have to try the new crafting but had some battles and travelling around..great experience. No doubt we can proceed from here with expanding STO :)

Just one minor thing. With the borg shield FX turned off, the words "enemy shields are down" don't feel correct. How about something like "Armor heavily damaged" or something similar.

mispost possibly? I though the OP was actually quite nice compared to other threads :P

I have seen nothing but complaining in Zone chat from POed players. They are complaining that this season was nothing more than a fluff release. I told them that content will be here within weeks and if all they are going to do is to complain, they can go back to WoW where their accounts can be TRIBBLE by gold farmers, because we who love STO and Cryptic do not want to hear it.

Great job, Devs. I love this new release and look forward to future Season 3 updates!

P.S. I want my Original Cloaking Graphics back! (You know I won't shut up about it, heheh)

I'm not upset nor do i rant and never had. If i said something then it has only been constructive. I hinted it out because it could have been overlooked. It's neither game breaking nor else.

If you read my postings since beta then you would have noticed that i placed much faith in cryptic and the future development of STO. I'm one of those who defended the game since day 1 but on the other hand making proposals for future improvment.

Do me a favor and gather more hints and clues twards a persons motivations through some questions and/or reading previous postings. This would prove very helpfull to ensure a better communication and less missunderstanding :D

Maybe even my join date could have helped :)

Well, my VA is happy cause now space doesn't like if she was trapped in the Tron movie anymore but she's still pretty bored cause beside enjoying the new look, there is nothing new to do really.

Sorry, let's be fair here, there ONE more daily mission.

And of course now we can do the old missions again.....if someone is bored enough to do such a thing of course.

So, all in all, i gonna say congrats guys, a change in look what most needed and congrats for the captain's chair.

It took you one year but yes, you finally made it, we can use the chair now without having to play monkey in the bridge.

Something else I've noticed is the little camera glitch that occurs when you warp out.

WHen you hit warp, the camera swings around to look at your ship as the engines charge then WHOOSH, off you go. THEN, just before the loading screen, the camera pops back to look at where you had been.

I know it was mentioned in testing. It's still doing it.

Also, the Server Not Responding error that was mentioned in testing is also still happening. I know the devs are aware of it, but I'm suggesting an automatic log out if you're faced with this error after, say, 5 minutes. At present, the only way to deal with it is to alt+tab out and use Task Manager to close the game. This in turn causes a verification of all the games files by the launcher.

I am sorry if you took offence, but I never mentioned you by name, I just posted to your thread. Really, so sorry if I offended you.

No problem. I'm not offended but wanted to clear things out a bit. Even my words may not always sound clear twards my motives. I'm no native english but i'm trying hard to express myself correctly.

Suppose we all agreat that cryptic has done a great job with season 3 :D

To me it occured that i was automaticly logged out after letting it run for a while. Don't know after what timeframe it was but i didn't need to alt+tab

    Season 3 is nice. Scale from 1 to 10, 10 being great. I give it a 8.

I just have one question, when will we get to see Open World PvP? Since Rumors are going around that Kerrat will be Nuked/Removed. Can you maybe keep Kerrat and remove the Borg, and just leave it a Open PvP zone?

While it's nice to be able to sit in our Captain's Chairs on our bridges, we commented on how bad the pose is while it was still in testing. We look like we're sitting on the can, frankly, and we can't change the pose.

Other enotes will function when seated, why not the SIT emotes? That would help right off.

Now I know the devs are computer geeks, because they don't seem to realize sprinting is TIRING. Why was it changed? It was fine before. We can now sprint around for AGES, something like 30-40 seconds at a time. It's not terribly realistic.

It's dangerous to go around changing things that aren't broken.

I have to give it a 10 just due to Klingon Crafting and the new sector space look. SUPER SWEET!

    Now for the bad...

Oh man, I HATE the new mission window. Half the time, the missions I want to start, WON'T appear in the 'available missions' area. It seems really clumsy and akward to navigate through it.

All the Klingon Sorties are pretty neat... except for Eriksson. No matter how hard I try, I always end up with a 'fail' on the optional mission. Not because it's too difficult, but simply because the game TELLS me I fail. I am supposed to disable and loot 4 freighters... and I do. As soon as I loot the last freighter, it says 'mission failed'. Explain THAT to me!?!

My mission replay doesn't seem to do anything. I go to my ready room, examine the console, and it gives me an explination of WHAT mission replay is. When I click on 'available missions'... it gives me a list of missions that I can potentially replay... but nothing I can click on. I know I have completed at least HALF the missions on the list... but none of them can be selected or chosen. Am I doing it wrong?

Now as I havent yet tried the new crafting yet (Been busy with the sorties) I don't know if this is an issue... but I was thinking about it. If you need to 'craft' recipies that require particles... recipies that we will need throughout the rest of the game (from ensign to vice admiral), how will be get enough low level particles to craft a recipie when we are at admiral? I suppose we could just buy them off the exchange, but what if there are none available? It would seem to me that you could potentially 'run out' of materials to craft your recipies. Is that accurate?

With these concerns, I would lower my overall '10' to an '8' or maybe even a '7'... it would go back to '10' if these problems are dealt with.

I agree, I don't care for the new mission window.

Something else about the captain's chair. Any chance we can apply that effect to other chairs? I'm thinking mainly of the one in my Ready Room, but it would be nice to be able to use any chair in the game.

Overall, I'm very disappointed with the Start to Season 3.

    Sector: Like

New Klingon Crafting: I hate the console being located in the middle of the Hall of Heroes. It should be moved to the SE Corner, where the old Exploration Vendors were.

    New Angle: Good

Captain's Chair: Camera needs to be lowered to maintain eyesight level.

PvP: I hate you entering some chat room that spams your Chat window whiel you are in the middle of a match. And there is problems with the balancing.

Klingon Pi Canis: I find it wrong people can enter the Federation DSEs and turn that into a PVP zone. Surprised it wasn't thought of while in on Tribble, like the problem with Klingons entering the Fleet Actions.

And I hate how the Erikson and Transport missions are for Raptors and Bops than the Battlecruisers and Carriers. Erikson and the Transport missions are obvious regarding this. Eriksonn needs the reduce the Patrol ships or have Transports take longer to get to the warp point so BCs and Carriers can kill these ships.

The Transport missions are even worse that you fail if you blow up a freighter, and if you pass the primary and fail the secondary, you're out 3 emblems. Honestly, I felt robbed in time invested in doing these missions. I could've done the Eta and Deferi missions for 7 to 9 Emblems for the 1 I got today.

New Contact list: I HATE IT!

Old version was perfect: Hit Hail, find the person and intialize the mission:

Now its: Hail, forwarded to the Mission Page, find the mission, hit Hail at the bottom to talk to the person, scroll down to the mission and intialize it.

Even worse, if you drop a mission you can't talk to the person you want to so you're out of luck.

Overall, because of these things it has soured me greatly.

Dropping a mission has more steps now, you have to click to the In Progress tab, then drop it from there. I think the way it was before just double clicking the mission in the side window and dropping it from there was faster.

The new sector space is gorgeous. I'm happy to see model fixes on the Galaxy-X too.

I haven't really used the new contact list very much, but it looks good to me.
