1. Every thing sounds positive, and for that i am grateful.

SECTOR SPACE
1..Love the sector space revamp....but.... I am disappointed that my bridge is still hardly useful except for mission replay, but I do like that.

EPISODE REPLAY
1. Love the episode replay! and the method of the ready room interaction.

CRAFTING
1. Crafting never touched it now i will need to take a look at it.

GENERAL UPDATES
1. Tricorder picks up destructibles .....Great!!

2. Traffic control change.....Great!

3. THANK GOD......sitting in chairs!!! ( my ask Cryptic question! )

4. Space object interaction distance.....Great!

SHIP& COSTUMES
1. Tailor FIXED......FINALLY!!!! ...Full uniform customization.....maybe ????
2. Vice Admiral rank on TNG uniforms always worked for me ?

SKILLS, ABILITIES, & ITEMS
1. NOT HAPPY AT ALL with the Proton Rifle NERF....we will need it at full power to take on the Devidians in mission replay....for a mission reward you killed the reward in it.

2. All the rest in this category....Great!

UI
1. Hailing system revamp very impressive....but needs to be accessible also from my viewscreen though! (like TNG Final Unity game)

2. Rest of the updates....Great!

PVP- Do not care never been a PVP fan. ( At least in its current form )

VENDOR UPDATES
1. LOVE Them all!

NOTES:

*Star Base 24 Fleet Action "Little Jimmy's Locker" still does not scale with rank as all other rewards do.
Reported in this thread to Terramak......but no change as of yet!
http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=182766

* I wish we could get a coding change for the 5 man away teams to allow at least 10-20 and allow is to still bring our up to 8 -10 person away for some serious Epic battles that would make STF's fun.

* I would like more Bridge officer slots 5 for Vice Admiral, 5 for Admiral and 7 for Fleet Admiral.
I would also like to be able to add purple BOs found randomly on the map...for distress signals or something similar.

* I would also like a distress signal feature when you need help all near by ships can be advised by clicking distress signal and can immediately join your team.

* The Foundry may be on the way to being cool, but what I have seen so far it was a bomb ( that took out Tribble )....we need many more tools in the box, instead of one TRIBBLE driver and hammer. With those 2 tools I can not make a mission anyone would want to play. Cause they can get the same terribly boring mission in any exploration cluster. The Foundry is currently Genesis without the tools to support Epic mission building.....so I hope it improves soon and lives up to the hype! I want custom Star Bases and custom everything else and want to build Epic missions! I hope the Foundry is the cornerstone to getting everything we want in game and getting the engine tweaked/code added for the things we want that are currently not possible from the DEV team.
Thank you.

Everything looks fine, except the proton rifle nerf. That weapon was the ONLY thing making ground combat bearable. Enemies STILL took forever to kill, even with my whole team focus firing on them, but this rifle helped. Now, it is really only a TINY hair better than other weapons, I'm back to slowly sloggin through ground missions, and all thanks, yet again, to the PvP crowd. Sooo sick and TIRED of my PvE game being nerfed for the sake of the loud PvP minority. And even better, this time it was nerfed for the sake of GROUND PvP, which is a minority even among the PvP people. No one cared except for like 2% of your player base, and it ruined ground combat again for the other 98%.

I hope that this nerf is accompanied by an overall reduction in ground NPC HP, but I won't hold my breath for that.

I think DPS should have a separate rating for PVP instead of NERFING for the rest of us.

Episode Replay really should be in the Holodeck . . . not sure why they decided that you have to access it from the ready room. I'm hoping that with Season 4 and Cryptic's drive to make it feel more like "Trek" that they asses how in game features and functionality are accessed in the game.

    1) Replayable missions should be accessed from the Holodeck.
    2) When selecting a New mission communication, the game should cut you to the bridge and give a voice over of your captain to put the communication "on screen". High Priority Communications should be taken by the captain in the ready room.

Those are just a few of the little touches that would make the game feel really Trek-like.

I like the fact that you can get new unique rewards for replaying missions, neat.

I also like the new sector space and that there might be some more things in there now, surprises apparently.
We think you'll find some nice surprises out there.

    Anyone know what those are?

Looked to me like they improved some of the episode replay awards.

i like that you can now hide the XP bar on top of the screen...

that thing was annoying me since i reached max level...

would have hoped for a few more UI improvements (with that i mean what we actually have on screen during gameplay, not the dozens of menus hidden behind buttons...)

    well maybe next time.

I thought the Season 3 release note said UI, "# Fixed an issue incorrectly preventing certain Uniform combinations from being set up in the Tailor.
    # Fixed a potential Tailor issue where certain textures would not apply."

Not all COM badges are available for all uniforms still?
Klingons FED BOs do not have Sash?

    ALSO MISSION REPLAY REWARDS (needed)
More Very Rare BOs to help balance the economy, for Cardassian, Borg, Undine, weekly series rewards!!!

I do believe they refer to the changes regarding the Badlands, Mutara Nebula, Briar Patch and The Great Bloom. Check them out in Sector Space!

You dont have to blame pvp.
All they have to do now, is make the pve npc easier to kill, if they are too hard for you. Or focus more skills toward ground. Or play on a lower skill level.

pvp has the right to have fair mataches. And having that antiproton gun kill you in 1 or 2 shots is not fun or fair.

Im also very bored and TIRED of PVE'rs wanting the game to be so unbalanced that it is just EASY. If it takes you and your team SO LONG to kill a few NPC's then you must be doing something wrong. When will the PVE only carebears realise that they are only playing half the game and that PVP is ALSO part of the game. Its not just about people running around planets with UBER weapons killing everything in seconds to make them feel great about how overpowered they are.

I hope that more nerfs arrive which make PVE and PVP a LOT harder than they currently are but NEVER make the NPC's 1 shot kills like so many PVE'rs want.

I think they should fix ground combat and make no weapon "best" so that not all PvE players have to use the same lame weapon to have fun in ground combat.

Well, i like what they have done to most of the content, but the problem with crafting is that you do not get anything special if you win the mini-game, so i just let it fail and i tend to get the same samples, maybe 1 or 2 less.

Also, the way they have structured it requires me to use 10 radiation samples, just to level up 10 research points? abit too much samples to up just a mere 10 points, unless they raise what they get in the anomolies, maybe 10+ would be good enough for me.

Also, when it comes to exploration missions, i haven't tried it since this patch, have they changed it? cause 30mins cooldown inbetween exploration missions is quite a long time just sitting around doing nothing, because once you get into a new ship, you need better gear since the gear you start with is utter **** for the ship tier, crafting even after the update is rather too longwinded and the exploration from what i recall was not very well done due to the too long of a cooldown.

The way i see it, getting gear via crafting is still no different then what it used to be, you need to grind the anomolies way too much for it to be any fun, so i suggest that they increase the yield of the anomolies to atleast 10 to a maximum of 20 and the amount is based on how fast you succeed at the mini-game.

    Win within 3 seconds = 20

    Win within 5 seconds = 15

    Win within 10 seconds = 10

lose the game = 1-5 (which will be random

It would solve the problem and lower the exchange prices on the items in question because they are way overpriced.

When it comes to exploration missions, they need to remove the 30mins cooldown and lower the badges reward from 75 down to 25, since i have on occasion had 3 relief missions after each other and those can be done in like 2mins, which leaves me with 27-28mins doing sweet sod all, while waiting..........oh joy.

I personally do not do any form of pvp, i find it boring, predictable and a waste of time, granted pvp in this game is kinda balanced compared to say World of Warcraft, where if you play on a pvp realm, you WILL get ganked by level ?? players (ie. no win scenario)

Also, you need to understand is that some people are better then others, some are just outright TRIBBLE and others are godlike in skill and i personally do not need the game to be challenging for it to be fun, just playing this great star trek game is enough for it to be fun to me.

also, If you want it to be HARD, play on the hardest difficulty and enjoy npcs 1-shotting you, i personally find anything other then normal setting pointless, the difficulty and reward are not balanced and so is NOT worth it.

Also, you do know that if they made it THAT hard, players would just stop playing, i doubt you thought of that...

Most stuff is coming but there's a lot you can do with the five objective types they give you. ;) You can create missions that are better than any star cluster mission in the game.

Let me put it another way: ever wonder why Star Trek had such consistency with sets and ships during TOS and TNG? It was because they simply reused things and worked with their limitations.

Sure, more options would be great (i.e. branching dialogue and custom interior rooms) and they are coming but if you can't create a good mission now, more options won't necessarily make your missions better when those features present themselves.

I've seen some clever missions that do things the devs have never done in the game (or at least not in the specific application I've seen). Clever things that go beyond the intent of the tools in interesting ways.

Actually, PA2C, the 'secret project' is the Foundry or UGC--User Generated Content. That is the master stroke of this season and really defines STO as being truely in a class of it's own in mass-multi-online games.

We all knew sector space was going to look like Deferi space with Season 3.

Designing the next Enterprise is just a contest...hopefully the first of many.

Only played a short time on my Klingon so far not tried my Fed's yet.

Sector space looks great, a lot more like well space.

Not looked at crafting yet as only one of my Fed toons had done any.

    Not tried episode replay yet.

Klingon now has a useful tricorder although should it not be a Klingon one and not a Federation one.

    Traffic control, better.

Space object interaction distance much better.

Hailing Starfleet/KDF, better but will take a little getting used to.

I had thought of that but I guess Im just one of those players that does elite mode with a team of good players and do not try to solo stuff that I would be stupid to try alone. Unlike you I find PVE boring, predictable and a waste of time.

I figure you've not been here long (maybe wrong), during the open beta, head start and for months after these forums were full of threads begging the devs to make the game harder, have a death penalty and these where the PVE'rs!

So the devs listened and put in the difficulty slider and death penalty. Now all we here is PVE'rs whine and moan about every slight balance change to the game. I guess it wouldnt be so bad if the changes came as a whole package of rebalancing but when it is done bit by bit over many months with no clear direction it becomes impossible to have any balance at all. Nerf one thing and something else suddenly seems overpowered, nerf that and yet another skill becomes FOTM. I doubt you thought of that...

PvP is, like, four maps. Almost one for every person still PvPing in this game.

But yeah, the rifle was overpowered, I gotta give you that one.

Warping into and out of a zone is acting wonky. Hopefully they fix that.

When in sector space. Can we manually put the planet info window off to the side somewhere and lock it there? So that any time we pass another planet it will show the info in the spot you locked the gui piece. I hate having it pop in my face like that.

Everything else seems great. I haven't tested most of the stuff yet. But will next week.

Sector space is pretty. Maybe that is what this patch should have been called.

Or perhaps - Nerf the rewards for the weekly missions. Thanks for the nerf on the proton gun, really really sucks. Not sure why, since everyone could get one - it was an even playing field for the PVP crowd. It is only unbalancing if some people can get it and others cannot.

No new loot? Different thread, but the new loot from STFs was ditched. So we get pretty sector space, a nerfed gun that was actually an awesome reward and very fun, no new loot and some new crafting items - nothing that great.

Oh and last night my fed char gets into a PVP match on the Kling side. Fun times.
