What settings create the best graphics for STO on this processor?

Well i've been trying to figure out what settings on my computer would give my game the best looking graphics, while increase performance. I'm not great at computers so any help is greatly appreciated.

My processor is a:

Pentium (R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2,50 GHz

on a

64 - bit operating system

Graphics card:

Intel (R) G45/G43 Express Chipset

current display:

1680 x 1050 (32 bit) (60 Hz)

If anyone can help that would be amazing! I'd also prefer to not change my computer settings but just my Game settings.

Humm, well my advice would be to get a graphics card.
Integrated chipsets like the Intel usually don't give very good quality and performance. =/

I concur, you need an actual graphics card in order to run games on a PC with any sort of decent performance.

Christmas is right around the corner, so try to get yourself a graphics card, such as an Nvidia 460 which is a good deal at the moment, around $200 US and a very nice little card!

Why are you asking? Why not just experiment with your settings to see what you can pull off?

If you're asking what you need to do to improve your settings, as others have suggested, it's going to be getting a decent graphics card.

Save up some monies and buy one of these...

An excellent mid-range graphics card, that gives the best bang for buck.
