Warp Plasma should start at the Lt slot.

I find it silly, that Warp Plsama starts at the Lt Cmdr slot. Logically speaking even the smaller ships would be able to vent warp plasma from their nacelles. It would also give the escort a nifty control option. (WP1 doesn't do fantastic damage but it'd be neat for the zone control especially during Interceptor Duty vs bops and other Escorts)

We can mount Feedback Pulse after all. (which is effective when you are running with at least one dedicated healer in pvp)

This would also fix the rather funny split of having two Warp Plasmas in the Cmdr spot. (seriously does anyone use mark 2? Everyone that is not an Eng that I've met, that uses it, finds an Eng to train it for them anyway)

As well as free up the cmdr slot for alot of cruiser guys to run just mk 2 in the lt cmdr spot and use ASIF 3 or DEM 3.

Its an extremely powerful ability for Cruisers and should come at a price.

1.) It can decloak any cloaked ship that wanders into it.
2.) It cripples ships for a fair duration(unless they have a HE skill that is not on cooldown)
3.) When specced for it it inflicts heavy hull damage.
4.) It is an excellent Carrier counter-measure being able to wipe out entire fighter wings.
5.) It can be used on an "unlimited" number of ships!!!

No, Warp Plasma needs to stay exactly where it is.

Plus from a 'realistic' standpoint a smaller ship would have a much smaller amount of warp plasma to spare.

    1. True.
    2. Unless they fly out of the cloud by popping an Engine battery, Deuterium Tank, and Evasive Maneuvers to get clear. Of course you don't even usually have to pop multiple on the list. Just one is usually enough if you are smart when it happens on you. Then the debuff goes away quickly. (I do this reguarly) Or they use Attack Pattern Omega and just fly on out like normal. (something else I do regularly.)
    3. Not Mark 1. Fully specced Mark 1 is rather pathetic. Even mark 3 isn't that great as I can inflict far greater damage with a Beam Overload 2, 3 or High Yielded plasma torp. It's a fantastic control and pet killer, not so much on the ship killing part.
    4. Yes it is. And that's a good thing.
    5. So can scatter volley, and funnily enough, Tric Mines, Mines in general, and Plasma torps (as they have a nice explosion radius)

Mk 1 is a joke of a Lt Cmdr Skill. Infact it's more competitive with Eng team 2, Emergency power 2, Asif 1, DEM1 etc.

It doesn't even remotely compete with Emergency Power 3, Eng Team3, Asif 2, DEM2.

The only warp plasma worth taking is Mk2 or 3.... both of which stupidly occupy the same spot. It's stupid because 3 is by far superior. And now that we can train boffs there is no point what so ever running 2.

Attack pattern Omega 2 and 3 also occupy the same spot, is that not also stupid?
The same can be said for the higher level Science abilities such as PSW.

EWP is an ability designed for cruisers, so see no reason why Escorts should have access to a cruiser ability, unless Cryptic chooses to make an escort with a Lt.Cmdr Engineer slot.

also, EWP2 is for people who cannot train 3 (or who cannot get someone else to train it, or find a BO with it)

EWP3 is AWESOME. I get about 600 damage per tick with it, straight to hull

I want PSW to start at Ens lvl ... :D
So I could stack it with HE and use it against Romulan slow projectiles.
    Wishes ;)
    Where will balance go?

there's a pretty large difference in power between EPTS3 and Warp Plasma 1. As in it's incredibly better than Warp plasma 1. Ditto for ASIF 2 and ET3.

Omega 2, is comparable to other powers in the cmdr tier, even for people with access to RF3 or CSV3.

Want to use eject warp plasma (rank 3 even) on a small ship? Join the ranks of the bird of prey pilots. We're always recruiting; come fly the friendly skies with us!

Oh I already have plans for that.

Just saying that Warp Plas1 isn't worth what it's competing against for that lt cmdr slot and that escorts should also have access to that goodness.
