The new weekly episodes are full of WIN!
The finale of the second set was just released last Saturday. So, you now have 10 new missions in 2 sets of 5 that each follow a cool story and progress from a first contact sort of situation to a finale show-down. Each set of missions also have cool rewards with a bonus reward for completing the missions before the next set comes out. Sadly, you missed out on the first series' special reward, a Breen BOff. But the special reward for the second series is still available. The first series can be started by talking to an ambassador contact just outside of Admiral Quinn's office. That mission set can be started by any character Lt10 or higher. Klingons can do these missions too, but I don't know what contact starts it. The second series can be started by flying to Psi Velorum and a box will pop up for you to talk to Franklin Drake (or Klingon equivalent). This set can be started by any character LT5 or higher.
Next, you should check out what's new on Tribble. Most of what's coming in Season 3 is up and almost everyone is excited. The sector space revamp is most anticipated.
I hope you enjoy your return to STO and I look forward to seeing you out in the 'verse.

That's all I can remember for now, I'll post again if I think of any more.
Canon is all that matters, choose a interpretation and begin the jihad against those whose canon is not yours.
If you don't PvP you are worthless.
Feds are now called "Freds" (though "klinks" has begun to lose favor as a name for Klingons)
Cruisers on the fred side are all powerful, the Galaxy-X is a super weapon, and if you want a "I win" button buy a excelsior.
All Starfleet to Klingon or Klingon to Starfleet, messages end with "L2P"
Immersion is the name of the game, pick a era, and schedule time for your second jihad.
PvE is what balance should strive towards.
Always claim to play on elite, then complain that elite is impossible.
Always claim to play on elite, then tell some one else who has problems they need to L2P.
Klingons need love and the Freds need to L2P.
The Galaxy X is worthless and needs a "Red Button" update for major win.
The NX-1 is no longer the red headed stepchild. Fred carriers now make you the pariah.
The Undine need a faction before the Romulans.
Some one wants to blow up Vulcan.
If you have even the smallest problem with the game, don't file a bug report, start a new thread here about how you're going to quit.
The Real life United Federation of Planets, begins here.
Scotty and the devs are sexist pigs.
Important note, only this and this should be considered proper Vans. Not ones posted in a thread I linked above.
The exchange is out of control, it is totally ran by sane "supply and demand" standards in a economy where we "print" our own money, without any sinks for said monies.

I know I left a few things out, but, that's just off the top of my head and just new here on the forums!!
you do make some valid points, but most of them concerns forum whining. If you just read the patchnotes and play the game you can avoid them.
As for the game, almost everything has changed. Raised levelcap, changed abilities, powerlevels, gear, you name it... It's all as it used to be, just different.
btw: Hooray for people coming back! (i'm seeing a lot of it lately!)
