Y'know, you can disable the D7s with your weapons. Makes the mission really easy. They only spawn in two at a time.
There spawn in is directly tied to breaking up the comet into smaller and smaller fragments. So, if you do not want to get overwhelmed you have to alternate between breaking up the comet and disabling the newly spawned Klingon vessels.

The mission gives us a big warning about not altering the timeline, and considereing that most people don't even bother to come to the forums it's much more likely that they'll get disgusted with the mission drop it and never do it again. Which is exactly what happened with the borked STO's.

I know Wow has trained people to just accept quests without reading the quest, but this is not WoW. The quests actually do have an interesting story behind them.
