@ Name change in STO's future?

I was wondering if there will be a way for us to change our @name sometime in the future, since some names were probably just placeholders at the time they were created.

Thoughts?

Only in very special, very specific circumstances would I agree this is ok.

You make a bad rep for yourself in game, by being a TRIBBLE / fleet bank robbing / whatever, you should have to deal with it instead of running off to a name change.

Why would someone sign up and subscribe using a placeholder name?

Not knowing exactly what the @name was supposed to be??? A lot of people created their accounts back in the early days of Champions online, when there was little description of what the @name was supposed to be......

The only way to get your @name changed is to contact billing and request a change. They will only make the change if your @name is the same as your login name. back in the days of champions release there was no optional field in the registration sheet to have seperate names for each, now there is as a security measure, so people don't give out their login name just by chatting in-game/posting on the forums.

I will say what I said before. As long as my ignore list updates with your name change then I have no problem with it. (not you specifically. But generally there are only one type of people who want to change their name...)
