I love the new rewards for this weeks episodes they llok great sound great but i do have one complaint the type II phasers are way too week, and not realy sure why they made them so much weeker then the disruptors and i know some one going to say well you can set them to stund which is true but you can set them to kill also, and i tried them in Big DIG switch instances and was playing several levels below my rank and still even in there they where very week , i beleave they need to relook at these and boost the power up on them a good bit so hopefully they will
Would've been nice if the secondary fire was an exploit attack. None of the phaser beam pistols have that. Phaser beam pistols are also rather weak compared to the compression pistols and other forms of beam pistol. For the TOS variant (and hopefully future phaser beam pistol variants), they could've just made the primary fire mode the "stun" setting while the secondary fire is kill (does more damage than primary, when target is exposed it vapes them). Similar to the high density beam rifle, or split beam rifle.
I don't want to tag somebody. I want disintegrations. TRIBBLE Starfleet regs, I don't take prisoners.
Every enemy you kill with the TOS phaser disintegrates.
My point is, if your team is fighting in a corridor, and your team's target is about to duck behind cover, you can stop them with the stun. A cleverly-used stun pistol can be very deadly in PvP.

I want a Klingon Agonizer that I can use on my BOffs.
I'm pretty sure this weapon and the crazy anti-dividian weapon that sends a wavy beam that chains to nearby other enemies are messed up.
The dividian weapon thingy does too much damage. Seriously, equipped with blues of my rank and the thing doubles their DPS. The stun thing does less than a green stun thing. It's like the anti-dividian gun is auto-leveld to max rank (which this character isn't) and the Type II is stuck on the lower rank. Auto-ranking weapons seem broken to me.

They aren't supposed to rank perfectly linearly.
I also question whether the TOS stun phaser does less. I believe its tooltip is bugged by a little though.
I think they are okay...could be more powerful but they are decent enough for me. However...I would like 4 more of these for my away team!! and now that the TOS phaser effect is in game...how about this TUC type?

I was actually thinking that because the type 2 phaser vaporizes on the kill shot it will be REALLY useful against mobs that can revive their comrades.
I ran through one of the KDF story missions recently and nothing gave me more of a headache then having an entire federation mob revive itself as I tried take down individual members.

I always really loved the look of the assault phaser. The prop designers modeled it after real semi-auto pistols and it shows, it actually looks like a real weapon opposed to most phasers that are seen.

As opposed to the utterly comical old style rifle that we got issued with?

I was thinking how it would wreck the storyline justifications when replaying this series. You know the whole "phasers set to stun", "bodies everywhere" aspect of these missions? Fortunately, episode replay is being billed as a "simulation" although I'm not sure why we have to fly to the locales if that's the case...

You can't vaporize the people Night of the Comet or Everything Old. Not even with exploit weapons. The animation is turned off with them.
as Morgomir stated: id like to get some for my crew as well...to include the rifle.
i also find the phaser pistol underpowered as compared to the rifle. i just luv the rifle and the animation on it (anyone see how the buttons glow - they get brite then fade...neat)
im just a larger fan of a lot of the older ST stuffs....ive been disliking the new look to weapons and how the BOs carry them to be honest.
First of all, yes... the tooltips are bugged on these weapons. Once you equip it and mouse over the abilities on your toolbar they will display correctly (scaled and in the correct order).
Second, the hand phaser and disrupter are scaling blue level weapons. The phaser is a stun gun (expose) and the disrupter is a compression pistol (exploit). Both have unique graphics and sounds related to them. However, like I said, they are blue... meaning they have one less "bonus" compared to a purple weapon. This is as it should be - someone should not be able to get the "best" weapons in the game at LT6 by doing a couple easy missions.
The phaser rifle is interesting. My first thought was that it was terrible however it has two things going for it - a knockback and "tick" damage, meaning you have a chance to crit on each tick. Further experimentation is warranted.
Lastly, yes... the proton gun is crazy OP. The fact that there hasn't been multiple threads calling for it to be nerfed amazes me - not to mention, as I said above, you should not be able to get the best weapon in the game at LT6 by doing an easy mission.

This is true but what i was saying as amn expose weapon it is extreamly week, weeker then any other ones and not saying makeing it a moster weapon lol just boost it some to be the same as the other hand phasers would be nice, cause personaly i like to use it most of the time cause of the cool factor but in actuality it so week i realy cant unless i want to take twice as long to take some one down lol,
For me as a klink, I chose the type two phaser. I could be wrong, but it seems to be the only weapon with an expose on the primary fire, giving it a much faster recycle to fire off expose chances. this is useful in both pvp and pve, when you can easily switch back and forth between an expose weapon and a high damage exploit rifle.
I would have prefered to take the disruptor, but in my mind having an expose on the primary fit better with how I use a pistol in my play style.

They're also useful in PvP, because you can tag someone who's weak to keep him from diving behind cover.

I love the black color, and thin look of it.
Where is the TUC used. I have not seen it before.
courtmarshall and send to rura penthe for no less then 50 solar cycles.

Actually yeah.
This looks much more like a weapon then this. I guess you could have a differing opinion if you were really into flash gordon-type productions.
