...Combat is not TREK realistic.... especially on the ground....

-Klingons would not just attack the team leader. If you ever watched season four of DS9 when they beam into ops, they attack EVERYONE equally. NOT JUST ME!!! G-ddammit that is the most annoying piece of non canon combat in this game. It needs to be equalled.

.........My Away Team Not Defending Equally........
-My away team members are idiots. They did not come from Starfleet Academy.
Again, if you watch Trek - they defend equally. They do NOT do one shot ever 5 seconds - yes *5* seconds.

.........Inequitable Attack Bug After Every Update........
-After every patch there is invariably something wrong with combat on the ground. PLEASE take more care with QA.

I ***love*** this game.... but I don't like repeated issues of QA with the same thing - in my job I would have been fired.

Please Cryptic - PLEASE kick the bums of your guys who do QA.

    I agree with you on the ground combat. However the space combat doesn't have much to work with. In fact, if you want canon style. Park nose to nose and throw all your weapons at each other. I would like to see some Z-Axis combat though:D

    Aggro issues are the cause. What is the remedy to become a lower threat than your away team?

    I would suggest:

    1. Send your away team into combat first to observe the amount of resistance they can handle.
    2. Equip the lowest dps weapon to your Captain instead of the highest dps weapon.
    3. Don't use your special combat skills as much.
    4. Fire or hit the enemy and get all of the aggro anyway.
    5. Target yourself by hitting F1 and then ordering your Science Officer to be your personal healer.

    There are supposed to be some aggro management skills. So far I have only noticed the ones that increase your threat level.

    The aggro thing can't be managed easy. It seems almost completely random. Only in long fights does it seem to actually work correctly.

    I can't count how many times my shields get ripped apart by the 2-shot wonders in exploration missions, after sending in my away team, and standing there. I'm farther back than my team and I haven't fired a shot. Why are 3 guys eating my face?

    This. Really looking forward to that ground combat overhaul...
